4 weeks Post Op

Dec 29, 2011

Haven't wrote in a little while. Things have been going well. As of Tuesday I was 4 weeks post-op and have lost 17.8lbs since surgery and 29.8lbs since I started pre-op on 11/14. I am still sore in the belly sometimes and get tired very easily and quickly. I go back to work next Thursday, 1/5 for five days at 4 hours a day, and then another five days at 6 hours a day. Then back to full time work on 1/19. So far I haven;t had any food aversions or issues and haven't been sick at all! I can pretty much eat anything already.. well proteins. I made a really good creamy southwest chicken soup the other day in the crock pot and it was amazing. For my meals I eat about 1/4 to 1/2 cup. It really depends on what I eat how much I can eat. I did find out this week that my "High Level Alarm" is a runny nose! Pretty cool learning so much about my bodys signals. I am excited for what is to come in 2012! I also can't wait until I lose all my weight and can finally (hopefully) get pregnant. It really feels like my life is going to come together soon! I love my RNY

Appt with Surgeon today

Nov 03, 2011

Met with my surgeon today to sign paperwork and chat before surgery. He is going to have me get an ultrasound of my Gall Bladder next week and if it is bad he is going to take it out when I get my RNY. I'm pretty sure I have gall bladder issues so I'm sure it is going to have to come out. Also, picked up my OptiFast 800 to take for 2 weeks prior to surgery. I am starting to get more and more excited aand nervous!! Keep me in your prayers.

Official Surgery Date

Oct 29, 2011

I got my official date.. 11/29/11. That's also my boyfriends birthday. We are going to Disneyland from the 19th to the 23rd to celebrate his birthday, and then going to Pismo Beach from the 23rd to the 27th for Thanksgiving with my family. I will be on liquids by then but it's all good. I am not a huge thanksgiving food fan anyway. I haven't smoked in 41 days. Woohoo! I go see my surgeon this upcoming Thursday to sign consent and talk the details. I am very nervous since I have never had any kind of surgery, but I know this is what I want. I am 28 years old and the last thing I want is to wait forever and then wish I did it sooner. I already have been thinking about doing this since 2008, so why wait any longer. I want to have babies and I know that I can't concieve now, because of my weight. Plus I want the diabetes to go away. I am so over it. :) If you are reading this keep me in your prayers :)

Thanks!
