6 days post-op....Is this normal?!?

Ok so surgery last Tuesday afternoon went really well, I guess I was in Surgery for 2 hours 2minutes...LoL Came home thursday and all has been well. I had the lap RYN. The only pain I have had is gas pains & really bad back pain but barely nothing most of the time. So here is my concern....They say you usually don't feel thirsty/hungry for a few weeks. But I dfinately feel thirsty and I have felt hungry a few times! I am so worried my surgery didn't work me. They also say you can only hold 10cc every 10 minutes or 1oz every 30 minutes, but I can sip down 5-7 oz. chicken brother over 30 minutes or so same with water, but if I eat my pudding I do feel full. Is this normal??? I have failed @ every attempt to lose weight in my life that it just seems in the back of my mind that this won't work either, yet Im so motivated/excited for it to work!! Help!?!?!
