Surgery Scheduled!

I got a date! My gastric bypass is scheduled for August 16, 2012. I'm disappointed that I couldn't get a date for this month, but I'm glad I have a date to plan around now. And my pre-surgical testing is scheduled for August 1st.

When I finished my call with the surgeon's office, my tongue felt funny and it still does. It feels numb and tingly, kind of like when you get the laughing gas at the dentist's office. It feels like I'm in a fog--excited, nervous, and anxious all at once.

Now I have to tell my supervisor, which has my stomach in knots since I don't know how she'll take it. She's not the most kind-hearted person and has a bitingly sarcastic sense of humor.
