Well, it's been 7 months now.   I know I haven't been that great at postings, but here goes.   I'm in a bit of a plateau right now, but my total to date is 86 pounds lost.    I'm proud of what I've done thus far, but I know I can do much better.    

Last evening I attended the BIDMC WLS reunion.   What a fantastic event the bariatric staff put on for their patients.   It was great hearing some of the testimonials offered by patients.   Maybe next year I'll get up and tell my story.

Well, that's about it for now.   I'll try and do better at keeping in touch!

Wow, it's been awhile since I posted.   Things are going great.  I'm just about 3 months post-op and I'm down 48 pounds since surgery, a total of 63 since I met Dr. Jones.    I feel fantastic.......my BP med is gone, I have alot more energy.   I no longer take a cart to golf.....I can walk the course without running out of energy.   I have no problem keeping up with my 14-month old son Tyler.   Other than some stuborn constipation that i now have under control, not many obstacles at all.

Well, tomorrow I'll be one month post surgery.  So far, so good.   Not too much to complain about.   Down 27 pounds since surgery, 40 since I met with the bariatric team.    I've been walking all along, last week the surgeon gave me my walking papers, I can get back to the gym...unrestricted!    I'm gonna take it easy with the weights, but full steam ahead with the cardio!!!!
The dietician sent me forward with stage 4 food, it's so great to start chewing again!

Well, it's sunday morning, I've just come in from my short morning walk, trying my best to work all this gas out of me.   I truly underestimated the gas issue......wow has it been a huge factor.     Dr. Jones tell me the RNY went very well.   I have a little bruising from one of the ports, I'm told that's the port where the stappler is and is gets pertty "worked over" there.    Other than that and the gas issue, things are going o.k.

Well, my surgery has been confirmed for tuesday morning 11:15am.  I'm nervous, yet quite excited to get things rolling.    I'll be updating when I get home.   Thanks to everyone for thier well-wishes!!!

It's tuesday and I'm exactly one week from my surgery date.   I'm on my 2-week pre-surgery diet and doing just fine.   Nervous, yet excited!!!
