5 month check in

Today makes 5 months since the Vertical sleeve and I am still happy. I have lost 57.3 pounds!!! I am 3 pounds away from being half way to my goal weight. I can't believe it! Yesterday I got home from vacation time in Virginia and Florida and the first thing I did was jump on the scale. I was so happy to see that I'd lost 2 pounds, especially since I did eat a few things that were not on the diet. Only thing I can attribute to the weight loss is that I did do a lot of walking at the mall in Virginia and at Epcot. But for the most part my family made sure I ate properly. I brought my protein shakes with me and as soon as I got to Florida I bought more shakes and 100 calorie greek yogurt. Of course I had pistachio nuts ( it is my addiction). Other than eating garlic French bread and a cake from starbucks, I did well. Ohh yeah I also grabbed a hand full of backed French fries, this cause my sister-in-law to smack my fingers and I got a good scolding from her. That happened on my last day there.  While I was on vacation my sisters took me shopping for clothes, since I hadn't gone shopping for myself since the surgery. I was shocked to see that am now able to fit all this fineness into a size 14!! I started off wearing a 22-24 dress. My mother also bought me 2 pairs of size 14 jean and 2 shirts size Large.  Man oh man am I happy and excited. I say to myself I would be happy at this weight, but in all actuality I wouldn't. I would be happy to if I could get down to less that 130 pounds but my goal remains 120, which is the high end of my BMI. I look forward to seeing how small I can get.
