Do not stand at my grave and weep, "I am not there, I do not sleep." I am thousand winds that blow; "I am the diamond glints on the snow, "I am the sunlight on ripened grains; "I am the gentle autumn's rain. "When you awake in the morning's hush, "I am the swift uplifting rush "Of the quiet birds in circled flight. "I am the soft star that shines at night." Do not stand at my grave and cry. "I am not there; I did not die AuthorUnknown-kristi

Leigh, thanks for sharing your story. As a pre-op and a nurse, I was beginning to worry that the less than perfect stories were left out (new to the website too). You are doing all of the right things. Be active in your home care, build a rapport with the nurses as you did your physicians, it will make it more personal for them and you will get better care. Many people after dehiscence have to heal "backwards," it isn't a new technique! Keep you chin up and start focusing on the mental healing that must be done. Just because your surgery didn't go perfectly doesn't mean you are now in an imperfect situation. You just have had one BIG hump in the road! Oh, but the payoff in the end!

I will keep you in mind and worry about you , let us know how it turns out. Hugs and kisses to you honey, hang in there. Keep your faith and keep your heart strong, there are many out here wishing you the very, very best and I know you will be fine , it may take awhile but you will prevail.
