I am a registered nurse. I researched approximately 25 doctors in a 125 mile radius and decided to have Dr. Chang perform my surgery. I aprreciate his honesty and would recommed him to anyone.

I met Dr. Chang through working at the hospital. He has always striked me as a very caring and compassionate person. He seems to truly want his patients to be successful and do well. The experience with him has been great. The Lap-Band surgery went well. I had no problems after the surgery. He has guided me along the way with positive reinforcement. He believes in me when I have doubts in myself. I have been very pleased with him. Would recommend him to anyone. Actually he did my Mother and Sister's surgeries as well. We all enjoy him as our Bariatric Physician.

He is wonderful. I have no complaints. I will refer him to anyone.

I REALLY LIKE DR. CHANG, HE IS VERY STRICT, BUT THAT IS A GOOD THINGS. I HAVE HAD GOOD RESULTS. I HAVE WILL KEEP REFERING TO DR. CHANGE. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH HIM.

My first impression of Dr. Chang was that he was very strict. He told you exactly what he wanted you to do and he fully expected you to cooperate.I really needed that. I will be celebrating 5 years out of surgery on May 18th 2009. Dr. Chang has encouraged me, stayed with me, and when there was a period that lapsed that he didn't see me. Dr. Chang called me and encouraged me to return so I could stay healthy.I think so much of Dr. Chang that I recommended him to my daughter. Through the years we have built an caring doctor/patient relationship. Thank you Dr. Chang for a new life. I used to wear 4x and now am able to wear 10's and 12's. I am now able to do things that would have been impossible before. I am now applying for an Administrative Position with public school. I could never have held this type of position before due to being on your feet and walking the campus. Better yet, I have more energy to share with my family including my new grandson.

I first met Dr. Chang when I was having complications from my gastric bypass surgery that another doctor had performed. Dr. Chang actually took the time to listen to my concerns about the complications I was having (unlike the original surgeon who told me it was \"all in my head\") and actually did something about the problem. Under Dr. Chang's care, my problems were resolved in a short period of time and I began feeling great. I lost approximately 130 lbs. and have never felt better. What I appreciated the most is that Dr. Chang took the time to personally call me on his own time from his cell phone on a weekend just to make sure I was doing OK after a recent procedure to correct the complications. He uses humor and is very honest in his responses to every question I've ever had. I appreciate the directness. I also feel that he is here to help me when needed and genuinely cares about serving his patients and doing a good job in the operating room. I highly recommend him to everyone I know who is considering some form of weightloss surgery.

I had lap band surgery 3 years ago. I am quite pleased and have reached my goal. Dr Chang has always given great advise and he really takes time to listen. I would definately do this again.

I first saw Dr. Chang 6 months prior to my surgery. He was personable and very informative but also \"no nonsense\". He was completely honest in that the surgery alone was not going to make me successful. I would have to do my part which meant telling my best friend, Diet Coke, goodby, eliminating snacking and getting back to the gym. He explained the risks of the surgery and definitely didn't try to talk me into anything.rnrnIt's been 3 months since my lapband surgery and I feel this has already changed my life. The weight is coming off at a steady pace and I'm feeling great. I've found Dr. Chang office staff to be very friendly and helpful. I am impressed with Dr. Chang's concern for his patients. My calls are always returned promptly and he continually spends more than expected to answer my questions and offer suggestions. I've noticed emails from him on a local message board, responding to individuals, even those who are not his patients, addressing their concerns sometimes at all hours of the night.rnrnI attend a local support group and Dr. Chang has the reputation there for being an excellent surgeon in which his patients have extreme confidence. rnrnI feel he is in this with me and really wants to see me succeed. I am determined to reach my goal and the genuine support and encouragement he provides will be key.

Dr. Chang presented a friendly, but professional impression to me. His office staff were very helpful and were ready to answer all my questions. They have called me to be sure I understood what was discussed in my first meeting and then again contacted me after the Nutrition Class.rn

My first appointment with Dr. Chang was in the fall of 2006. I was taking medication for diabetes, blood pressure and cholesterol. I was only 46 years old and felt doomed to this life of \"pills\" as I am a third generation diabetic.rnDr. Chang explained the lap-band and the gastric bypass to me and which one would better benefit my situation. He was very serious, he did not color coat anything. I left his office feeling that finally, I could do something about all these \"pills\"! My past experience with medical doctors were that I didn't have a choice, I had to take all these pills or I would die!rnDr. Chang gives you the information you need to take back your life and also lets you know that it is not just the surgery, or lap-band, it is a combination, of eating right, exercising, and the surgery that will make this choice a success. rnI had my surgery in the fall of 2006 and am 2 years out. In the past 2 years I have come to realize, that behind that strictness is a kind, caring Dr. that truly believes in all his patients and wants them to succeed in their new healthy lives.
