Excellent sugeon and staff. I would highly recommend them. They made and continue to make me feel very comfortable and welcome at all times.

Dr. Rowitz made me feel very comfortable about him as a Doctor, I really liked him. His offic estaff was very nice and answered all the question I might of had.
There was nothing I didn't like about him, he has a very nice bedside manner as we all know.. all doctor's do not always have. He does have an aftercare program and I hope to be able to attend as often as I can. at this time I would rate Dr. Rowitz an 8..I'll have to see how I feel after my surgery for the other 2%

The impression that Dr. Oliphant gave me was very firm. He tells you like it is. But, he is very kind can he cares about his paitents. His staff is wonderful they care about all his paitents. They want only what is best for us and try to help us maxinize our weight loss.
I asked him directly about the risks of wls and her was very honest with me with his answers. I would rate him very high. The only problem I have is I don't see very much of him. I see his staff now more than the Dr. but, I know he is very busy.

Dr. Rowitz is a consummate professional. He is informative, very open about the surgery but definitely approachable. His staff is wonderful. I have called them with questions and they have quickly and efficiently answered them.

I finally had my consult with Dr.Oliphant and he was very friendly. He seemed very optomistic that I will have no problem in the approval. That made me very happy. He lets you know the risks of the surgery and that it is a life long change you must be willing to take. The office personel was very nice and helpful both in person and on the telephone.

My first expression with Dr. Rowitz was a caring, professional, talented, doctor. I have checked out another doctor in Charleston and was unimpressed with his attitude , caring, and professional image. When I first meet Dr.Rowitz I knew this is the one I would trust my life with. He was very imformative and telling us everything about the surgery and cared so much that if he thought you couldn't go through the surgery he wouldn't do it. He's not about making money if so he would do surgery on everyone not caring if you made it or not. He's is about giving you a new healthier life. I would recommend him to my fullest ability. You do not find many doctor's like Dr. Rowitz I am very pleased with my decision. Only thing I don't understand is why medicaid don't pay for a phsycology evaluation but will pay for an expensive surgery. Medicaid knows we have to have this to get the surgery and get healthier and if we had 300.00 for the test we wouldn't be on medicaid.

The first time I met Dr. Rowitz was at a information seminar. It was obvious how much he cares about you and wants you to succeed. My appointment in his office is next Thursday May 13, 2004.

It is obvious his staff was hand picked by him. They are so caring. His office is for the obese person. Lg. BP cuff, chairs that are comfortable for an obese person. Everyone is so caring and wants you to succeed.

Yes he does emphasize aftercare. He does have a structure program.

Yes he explained all the risk.

Dr. Oliphant was wonderful. Very informative, but firm. He wants you to completely understand the procedure and be aware that this is major surgery and not cosmetic. He stresses that you will have to use this "tool" to its fullest to get the most out of it. The staff that I did encounter was very nice. He is very firm about the aftercare, and overall...I feel very safe and very comfortable with him.

I had my consult with Dr. Oliphant on April 15. He was very informative and wanted to be sure I do understand all the risks as well as benefits of this surgery. I wasn't in the office very long at all before being taken back to a room, I didn't really have any time to spend with the office staff, although they have always been very helpful and polite on the phone. Dr. Oliphant really emphasizes his aftercare program should be followed to a T for success!! Dr. O was very upfront about all the risks of surgery and wanted to be sure I understood them clearly.
