Dr.Holwick is wonderful,her staff is also wonderful. I see her assistant Julie, at the office, and she takes good care of me, when I have questions.

I was impressed by the "down to earth" approach that she had and the frankness. I am 58 and she said up front that I will not loose as much as someone younger. I hope to prove her wrong!
The office staff was so nice and cheerful and the clinic and hospital was really nice looking.
Surgical competence is more important than bedside manner to me.
I am a little over an hour away and that was really thought over, but the drive is beautiful.
Both she and the Internal Medicine doctor stressed risk of surgery.
Surgery scheduled for November 7, 2001 and I am nervous!!
I have had 2 visits after surgery. Both times I saw the PA "Julie" and got staples out both times. Everyone is so helpful.
I talked with people in the waiting room that had nothing but positive remarks about Dr. Holwick and her staff. I traveled a little over an hour, but some had come 4-6 hours to have the surgery.
My hospital stay was really great also with all hospital staff being really great.
I have pages from diatery to follow and they called after I came home. I have a number to call for questions about eating and I am really following the information pages carefully.

I had my initial consult with Dr. Holwick on 10/15/01. The staff was very friendly, especially Lynn (nurse) and Julie, the Physician's Assistant. I have been considering this surgery for some time and was pretty well informed prior to my visit. Dr. Holwick was very nice and to the point and answered all my questions. I am very pleased that I have found Dr. Holwick! 2 weeks before surgery found out that I will have to prepay what the insurance does not cover. Still a hefty sum for me. Please be prepared for this so it is not a surprise at the end like it was for me and a few others.

I had already heard alot of good things about Dr. Holwick and after my initial consultation those were confirmed. Between her and Julie, her nurse practioner, everything was explained. I had did a lot of research and talked to a lot of people and was well informed and they were really helpful with questions I had. Everyone was very nice. My first impression of Dr. Holwick is that she is a very caring Dr. and really wants to help people like us to have a better life.

1st impression: We are going to get along just fine. Very down to earth.

Office staff is great.

I meet Dr. Holwick for the first time today.I liked her alot,she was very down to earth.She was in her sock feet which made me like her even more.She talked talk that you could understand,not just Dr. talk.I am very excited about her being my surgeon!

I had meet with Dr. Quioco on August 22, 2001 and was approved by insurance on the 30 of August. Today on September the 13, I found out that the dr was not qualify to do the surgery. So, I made a appointment with a Dr. Jane Hollwick. I will tell more when I have my appointment. The doctors office is going to roll-over my approval for the surgery.

dr. jann holwick is a real nice lady. she had a video about her and what she does that was on tv about 10 years ago that was done by news 13. i thought that was very nice to see. she was much better than the other dr i was was going to see. i think GOD i found her. anyone around va should go and see dr. holwick if they need help with their weight cause she is there for us.

Met with Dr. Holwick (after waiting an hour and a half in her waiting room)...her office staff is really nice and answered all my questions. I met with her on the 5th and on 11-15 I was totally approved and have my surgery date for Jan.22. Can't wait!

I liked Dr. Jann Holwick, she was very straight and to the point. I met her nurse Lynn, who seems very nice as well. My brother had the operation done a little over a year ago and has nothing but good things to say about Dr. Holwick, her PA Julie and her nuse Lynn.

I was unsure about having this surgery but after meeting with Dr. Holwick and Julie I am reassured that this is the thing for me to do. Dr Holwick was very nice and answered all of my questions. She told me if I had any more questions to please call and someone would get an answer for me. I have already recommended her to a friend. Her staff was great sending my papers off to the insurance co and making sure I had everything I need. I feel like I have made the right decision and the right doctor will be performing the surgery.
