At both the seminar and my initial meeting with Dr Ehrlich, I found him to be a very caring and compassionate doctor. At no time did he make me feel uncomfortable. He went over all the aspects of gastric bypass surgery pointing out all the pros and cons. I felt then and still do now, very confident and comfortable with him as my surgeon.

My first impression was he is young and hamsome.

My impression has seen he is very perfessional and spend time talking to you about what ever you have questions about.

The staff are very nice and make you feel confortable.

There is notheing i liked least about him.

He is a compassionate, caring and perfessional doctor.

He gets right to the point to make you understand how important it is to do what he ask concering the aftercare, due to it being very crucial about taking care of yourself.

The aftercare plans are very well structured.

He gave me all the risks that come with the surgery , but he also let me know i am in good hands.

Overall he is a great compassionate, caring, informational and excellent doctor.

I feel you need both due to him being a part of your recovering

I first went to an information session given by Dr. Ehrlich. I was so impressed with his genuine concern for the health of each person in the room, most of whom were strangers to him. I went through the insurance authorization process painlessly with the help of his entire staff. Most importantly, I went through lap-band surgery like a champ.

My impression is Dr. Ehrlich must be an amazingly gentle surgeon as I barely had post-op pain. My family and friends were amazed to see me on my feet and feeling great pretty much the next day or two. I don't imagine that would be possible without the care he took in performing the surgery.

I am deeply grateful to him for the journey he has helped me embark on. I feel like he has given me an opportunity for success....after a lifetime of struggling.

My first impression of Dr. Erlich was that he is very down to earth and easy to talk to. I was so comfortable, like I knew him for a long time. He was very knowledgeable about the Lap Band and answered many questions. His staff couldn't have been nicer. I can't wait until my insurance mess is all set and I can start working with his office. It seems to be a perfect fit - I like that he responded to my emails immediately - good sign of a great office staff doing their job and a doctor wanting to give me his opinion.

Prior to choosing a particular surgeon I investigated into of the surgeons here in Connecticut that perform bariatric procedures. After narrowing down my search to two surgeons I attended a seminar in my area which was sponsored by Fairfield County Bariatrics. I made an appointment with Dr. Ehrlich the next day.
My first impression of Dr. Ehrlich was that he was caring, concerned, obviously knowledgeable, very approachable and for me, most important, down-to-earth. Here I am, one week post op from lap-band surgery and my impression of him has proven to be true in fact my opinion is even higher. Dr. Ehrlich is a skilled surgeon and definitely comforting in a time that is stressful. As soon as he walked into the OR I felt better.
The staff at Fairfield County Bariatrics is a reflection of Dr. Ehrlich and Drs. Floch. They are all helpful, somehow they all know who you are and exactly what is going on with you.
Dr. Ehrlich and the staff all emphasized aftercare including support groups. They provided us with written as well as spoken information about the multitude of options available. Both Dr. Ehrlich and Danielle, his P.A., spoke openly about the risks of the surgery.
I am particularly impressed with the level of preop screening that took place.
Dr. Ehrlich is blessed with surgical competence and a warm bedside manner. I definitely rate him highly.

Dr. Ehrlich is great! He absolutely draws you to him. He's very laid back and relaxed and will put you at ease. He and the brothers Floch do an amazing job.

I had my surgery April 11, 2005 performed by Dr. Tim Ehrlich. I highly recommend Dr. Ehrlich and his team for anyone considering weight loss surgery. Dr. Ehrlich was my second opinion which upon meeting him became my first choice. He immediately put me at ease as did the rest of his team. I actually travelled 1 1/2 hours so I could have Dr. Ehrlich perform my procedure.

Dr. Ehrlich treats his patients with the utmost respect but with a sense of camaraderie. He treats you like a person and not just another procedure and really puts you at ease. Every question I had he readily answered and he or one of his team are always available to answer questions. He intills a positive attitude and cares not just about your physical recovery but your mental recovery as well.

I really dont have anything negative to say....I had a very positive experience with my second opinon team.

My only wish is that I had found him first and my total experience with the process may have been a bit easier. Once I found Dr. Ehrlich and his team, things progressed quickly and I am now on the road to recovery.

He was understanding about the effects of obesity,as well as knowledgable about surgery. He helped me to feel accepted as a morbidly obese patient,he always had time to answer my questions,as well as his staff ,and PA's. He is focused on a team approach, and all the resources. They do have a support program post op
Pre surgery questionaiarre opened the door to discuss risks. I would reccommend him to anyone-but we all know picking an MD is a personal decision.

Dr. Ehrlich is an incredible man, he is so enthusiastic about helping you and your meeting your goals that it is contagious. When I met him at his seminar, I already knew he was the Dr. I wanted to operate on me, he was very clear and direct on the pro's and con's of each procedure and did not promise an easy ride, he stressed that these surgeries are a tool and he had the easy part, the rest was up to you as an individual. I also have to say he was the first Dr. I've been to in a long time that did not make me feel "fat". My affection for Dr. E only grew even after the surgery, even when Danielle (his doll of a P.A) is doing my fills, he will still come in and say "hi" check to see if everything is ok and ask me if I've been to a support group meeting because he feels they are most important. I had a recent overfill and I was immediately squeezed in to see him even though it meant he would be leaving later than his normal Friday hours, he even had the office call me on Tuesday the following week to see how I was and again made a special appointment for me to adjust my fill. While many may feel this is what a Dr. should do, there are many Docs that don't do what they should and this is NOT the case with Dr.E, he truly does care about his patients and wants the best for us in regards to our health and happiness. I love Dr.Ehrlich and the staff at Fairfield Bariatrics, I have yet to run across someone that does not greet you with a smile. I consider myself blessed to have found this group and I tell anyone I know thinking about this surgery to only go there, because they will treat the whole person.

Dr. Ehrlich is a double whammy Doc, he has the surgical competence you pray for and the best bedside manner of any surgeon I know of. I had hand surgery a few years back and while my surgeon was competent he lacked the bedside manner which left me less than impressed.

To anyone out there in CT looking for a surgeon, look no further than Fairfield Bariatrics. You will not be disappointed.

They say no one is perfect and that is true however my association with this group over the last 6 months has been almost perfect, I really can't say a cross thing about the group, they don't even keep you waiting long in the waiting room. :)
Perhaps because I had the lapband the least complicated of the 2 surgeries my visits are very routine. Given this fact, my personal experience with the group has been an extremely positive one, I do wish they had support group meetings on a different night and more of the banders attended, I live about 40 mins away from the support group area and most of the attendees are gastric bypass and I feel our journeys are completely different. I would like to connect with more LapBand people in a face to face setting rather than the message boards here on OH. So I guess that is my one complaint with the group. If that is the only thing bugging me than I'm not doing to bad. :)

I met Dr. Ehrlich at the November open meeting at St. Vincents Hospital. He was confident, articulate and personable. I felt immediately comfortable with him and spoke briefly with him after the seminar. I made my appointment with him the very next morning. He is very knowledgeable. He does not pressure you in any way. He allows you to make the best decision for yourself. In my case I decided on RNY and he supported this decision wholeheartedly. I am impressed with the whole process that Fairfield Bariatrics has you go through. The preop care/meetings, the preop meeting and the post op follow up is superb.
I am equally impressed with the staff at Fairfield Bariatrics, both Vicky and Danielle have been so quick to respond to questions and comments it is truly amazing.
