Emory Healthcare Bariatric Center

Dr. Srinivasan was the surgeon at the initial seminar I attended. I immediately knew she was the one I wanted to perform my surgery. She was so down to earth, knowledgeable and her ability to relate was perfect for me. Each time I met with her, she never made me feel rushed, always answered all of my questions, and most importantly explained all of my options. She seemed just as excited for me as I was to embark on this journey.rnrnThe Emory Bariatric Clinic is so thorough and amazing. Their staff is all so nice, and supportive. The meeting with the dietitian was fantastic - since no one else was signed up, I had her one on one and felt really prepared.rnrnEvery single person I met within the Emory University system was wonderful, and I cannot imagine going anywhere else for this surgery and everything else involved with it if you live in the Atlanta area.

Very Friendly, easy to talk to. Honest and upfront about risks.

My first impression of him was "Wow, he looks like a man who could play a great Batman"! His smile is wonderful! His bedside manner is fantastic! He is "very qualified". He is the Director of Surgery and the Director/Instructor of the Robotics Division at one of the worlds top 100 hospitals, Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia!
His overall rating is 100 percent for me!

I met Dr. Srinivasan at an information seminars hosted by Emory Bariatrics. Dr. Srinivasan was warm and welcoming to the vast crowd of WLS seekers. She was bright, articulate, personable and approachable. My gut instinct told me that she was too young to be experienced in WLS, and then I did my homework. Dr. Srinivasan specialize in the Lap Band procedure and has performed over 75 lap band procedures and various other Gastro, GI surgical procedures and repairs. Dr. Srinivasan is the Assistant Professor of Surgery, Division of General and GI Surgery at Emory University. During our first consultation she was very curt and direct about the procedure, the good, bad and ugly. Dr. Srinivasan is very serious about her patients’ overall health and success with the Lap Band procedure. She candidly assessed if I would be an ideal candidate for the band, which she did. I found her to be very knowledgeable and wise beyond her years.rnrn______________________________________rnrnPost-OprnrnDr. Srinivasan is just an all around skilled and wonderful surgeon! She really cares about her patients and this is really welcomed when undergoing such a tremendous procedure. rnJust before my procedure she came into the prep room to check up on me. I was nervous but she assured me that all was fine she explained all that she would be doing that day. I immediately felt calm and at ease. Later after my surgery my husband told me that while I was in recovery room a nurse telephoned and said that the doctor had requested to speak with him. So he began to scramble and gather up all of his junk from the family waiting area and when he stood to head towards the recovery room Dr. Srinivasan was standing there. She had personally come out to speak with him and explain the details of my surgery. She assured him that everything went well. Not only did she place my lap band but she had repaired a hernia that I had too. A lot of doctors have lost their bedside manners, but this one hasn’t. She just the greatest and I’m so happy that she is my surgeon! I would highly recommend her. rn

My Husband and I attended a WLS seminar hosted by Emory Bariatrics. The Doctor speaking at the seminar was Dr. Davis. Our first impression was WOW he is so YOUNG!!! Yet he was so informative and really made me feel at ease about their office and feel better about moving forward with my decision to have WLS. Ever since that night I have had nothing but a FABULOUS experience with Dr. Davis and the entire EMORY staff. They have been wonderful to me and are always available to answer my questions. I'm thrilled that this is the practice I have chosen for my WLS. On a side note...he looks younger than he actually is...but my husband still calls him Doogie Hosier!!!

My first Impression of Dr. Lin was great, he was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions. I had my surgery at Emory University Hospital so I also got to meet a great group of residents and students, they were all very nice. My impression hasn't changed, he is a great surgeon who really cares about his patients and people in general. He does alot of volunteer work, which I think is wonderful. He came to the hospital and saw me on Saturday and Sunday of a holiday weekend, incredible. His office staff is absolutely wonderful, helpful and understanding, except Cheryl, she can be a little grumpy sometimes. Emory's bariatric program has an incredible aftercare program, one of the best I think after reading alot of posts about people who don't know what they are supposed to be doing after surgery. Mine is all laid out in a book and I have my Nutritionist's direct office number in case of questions. He has both high surgical competence and a great bedside manner, I would rate Dr. Lin and his associates a 20 on a scale of 1-10, absolutely the best decision on a DR. I have ever made. Disclaimer: Of course this was my personal experience with him and any decision this huge should be made by you,and what is right for you, not by the recomendation of others.

Dr. Lin is the best. My surgery went well. I spent the night but only because I was 2 hours away from home. He wanted to make sure I was ok. A member of his staff checked on me several times and he came in first thing in the morning to release me.

I first attended a seminar at Emory held by Dr. Davis and I knew I liked him then. I have since had my first pre-op consultation with him and I found him very patient (I had a MILLION questions) and knowledgeable. I am looking forward to him completing my surgery. He really put me at ease about the surgery as well. I also liked his assistant, she was very friendly and helpful.
