My first impression of Dr Davis was he was very young looking. He also had big feet. He was also very soft spoken. He showed me that he was very assured about what he does and that he was very professional. The staff was of great help and friendly. My paper work that had to be sent back to work took some time . Dr Davis did not come to see me after surgery before I went home to tell me everything looked good. He was very concerned about aftercare wanted to make sure that I follow the instruction they gave and to call if I had any question at all. They want you to have so much support to get you thru. He went over everything from the risk of the surgery and the pros for the surgery what would happen if you dont follow the rules to even drawing a picture of it form me. He was the a very good doctor to work with and easy to talk to. Surgical compentence I think was better, but bedside was not all that bad.

Dr. Davis is great. He is very personalble and has a wonderful bedside manner. Although he looks young, do not be fooled. He is very knowledgeable and has successfully performed many bariatric surgeries.(every Tuesday) His office staff is and has been great to me. Although they are sometimes very, very busy and you may feel as if they have forgotten you, be patient. I would rather have a doctor who has too many patients because he's great, than a doctor who has no patients because he's lousy.

Dr. Lin was extremely nice and ready to answer all of my questions when I first met him. I felt real comfortable with him and I had done research prior to so I knew that he was the doctor that I wanted to perform my surgery.

I LOVED my surgeon!!! He is very nice and very honest. His staff was great, and the whole process was very smooth. I think everyone should at least go to one of his seminars.

My doctor looked really young, but I have complete confidence in him. I've heard from others that he is really good and smart. Everyone at the hospital talked very well about him. I've been impressed with his show of concern and his attitude toward me. rnrnHe has made very sure that I know all the risks involved and has anwered all my questions. rnrnHis staff has been very helpful.rnrnI rate him at a 10!rnrnIf anything negative at all, would be that he looks so young. But, it also means that he has the most recent knowlege and technology available.

I liked him from the very begining and my impression of him grew as we neared the surgery date. His office staff was very nice and would go out of their way to help you. I guess the least I liked was not enough time with each visit. He explained everything up front about the surgery, the risks and what to expect after surgery. He even explained my aftercare program and told me about the doctor who would be taking care of me after surgery. I would give Dr. Lin a rating of 9 out of 10. He had a great beside manner and an outstanding surgical competence.

Dr. Lin is very smart, and straight to the point. He will tell you the truth.... the good and the bad possibilities. I found Dr. Lin to be cordial, and well versed in his field. The visit went well, and I left with my questions answered. rn3/29/07 UpdaternDr. Lin did my endoscopy... all went well, and it looks like my surgery will be the first week in June. It will be laproscopic.

Dr. Lin presented at Emory's weight loss seminar back in November. He presented a great overview of the various weight loss methodologies including surgery and their long term effectiveness. Emory's appoach is pretty comprehensive including support groups and dieticians. My first meeting with Dr. Lin included discussion of the lap-band procedure, risks and considerations. I felt he was very thorough. rnrnHis staff worked with me to put together all the necessary paperwork for my insurance to review/approve the surgery. It's alot of work. I had to get letters from my primary care physician, document my previous diet history, bloodwork, meet with a psychiatrist and dietician. There is a great dietician on staff at Emory and I found both the meeting with him and the psychiatist very helpful.rnrnI've now completed all the necesarry paperwork and am awaiting insurance approval. The office staff has followed up with me and kept me informed of all the steps I have completed and what is left. rnrnDr. Lin discussed his concerns with the lap band and my condition: I have had an illeostomy and have alot of scar tissue. He still was confident that a lap band was my best bet and that he would be able to perform the surgery successfuly. rnrnOverall, he is a very confident and knowledgeable surgeon. Two qualities I like in a man I am trusting my life with.
