Foothills Weight Loss Surgeons Bariatric Center

My first impression of Dr Ray was that I was so pleased that he is a very spiritual man. I love that he prays with his patients before they leave his office. He gives all his praise to God for giving him the knowledge to be the wonderful surgeon that he is. There was nothing that I did not like about Dr. Ray he is a very kind & understanding man. He genuinely cares about his patients. He has a very good bedside manner. He does what is best for his patients to keep them safe & to give them a healthy, happy recovery. I would refer anyone to him. He was a true God send for me.

I thought he was very professional when I meet him.rnMy inpression of him changed only for the good he is a great Doctor.rnHis office staff are all very helpful and when you call with a question they can answer it and reasure you.rnNothing I liked everything about him and his staff.rnThat he is very sincere in what he does.rnYou see him two weeks after surgery and then 6 months, and then a year. and you have lab drawn at 6months, and then at 1 year. you see him when you need a adjustment.rnHe tell you all the risk of any surgery that you have because there are risk for all surgeries.rnFrom a scale from 1-10 I would rate him a 10.rnthey were both great.

My first impression of Dr Ray is that he is a bit odd. I mean that in a good way. He did not seem arrogant at all and seemed to be laid back. His office staff is friendly but very busy and I wish they had time to give you more one on one attention. Dr Ray stresses the importance of after care and encourages his patients to go to the support groups. I hope to attend the next one next month. He makes you take a test to ensure that you are aware of all of the risks. My surgery seemed to go okay. I was disappointed that he did not come back to check on me afterwards. He told my family that everything went fine, but I expected to see him again. The first shift nurses were very helpful, but I cannot say the same for the second shift. The LPN seemed to \"forget\" that I was a bariatric patient and offered me Sprite and a pain pill. I was told I could go home at about 6pm the same day as long as everything was fine, but I did not get to leave until 1030 - that night which by that time the pharmacy was closed. This really ticked me off. I just wanted an answer either way because I needed to make further rnarrangements for my kids. I think the nurses just forgot. Finally at about 830 I asked them to call Dr Ray and see what the deal was. Overall, I am pleased with Dr Ray so far. rnrnrn******UPDATE*******rnI went to the support group last week for LAP band patients and was very impressed to see both Dr Ray and Dr Colquit as well as the nutritionist there. They are so much more supportive than I orginally thought. They stay to answer questions and the nutrutionist Angie Stewart runs the group. What an awesome team!

I had my first consultation with Dr Colquitt yesterday. He seems to be a very competent, laid back friendly man and I feel very safe in choosing him as my surgeon. Every question I asked him was returned by the right answer. Premier Surgical is a bariatric center of excellence, they do the lap band in the most productive manner. He's not super chatty or anything but I like that. I don't feel like he's trying to sell me anything. The most important and desirable thing about this organization is that they have a plan, they are prepared, supportive before and after surgery and are confident. His staff are very sweet and organized and skilled but not uptight or off putting either. Honestly, the whole thing seems (at this point) to run like a very well oiled machine and I'm stoked that I found such a great gang of professionals to get me started on the road to a new LIFE! So far this outfit is getting a strong B+ from me.

I think I had to have had one of the very best rnsurgeons there is. He is quiet but he neverrnfails to answer any question that I ask. Hernreally knows all about the lapband. I hadrnsurgery on November 8 and have so farrnhad absolutey no problems and even hadrnminimum pain. I would very highly recomendrnhim to anyone.

I met Dr. Colquitt at his seminar in Knoxville TN. He was very informative and personable. He answered all questions I asked him. I will know more after my consult. I am confident in my choice to use him.rnI had my consult with Dr. Colquitt in September. He was very informative and had a great bed side manner! He is the best choice for me and I trust him totally!! I did feel kind of rushed by his staff but maybe that is just the way it happens everywhere?

I met Dr. Colquitt the night of my first support/group meeting. He went over all the different types of surgeries, the death rates, all the pertinent information. I felt then, that he was very informative and helpful. He stayed for the whole thing and was very available to talk with anyone who wished to speak with him. Then I met him again during my consultation (I was told that I would probably only meet his staff that day) so we talked in length that day. He explained everything that was to come. Wanted to know if I had any questions at all and made sure that I had any information that I felt I needed. I was very comfortable with him from the get go, and that is a very important factor for me. The staff seems just lovely, they have been helpful each time I have had to call there. I feel very confident in deciding to go with Dr. Colquitt.

Dr. Colquitt is very knowledgeable and both he and his partner Dr. Ray are continuously looking for ways to improve their tecnique and makes things easier for his patients. He's not much of a talker but it was obvious when I had to go back into the hospital that he cares did not let me leave until he was satisfied that he had figured out my problem. His program is very comprehensive with all the people and facilities in place to assure that his patients get the care they need both before and after this life changing surgery.
