Foothills Weight Loss Surgeons Bariatric Center

I found when I met Dr.Colquitt last October is that he's a quiet man. My impression of him hasn't change. The office staff make you feel like you are in great hands. They're helpful, understanding, and go out of their way to make you comfortable. Dr. Colquitt is thorough, he is a positive person that lets you know you are in confident hands. Aftercare is very important to this Dr. He's upfront when it comes to the risks, he doesn't minimize them. They are serious risks and no one is a better candidate then the next person. I would highly recommend him. Surgical competence is better. If the surgeon doesn't have confidence in himself, then he's not the one you want. I would imagine that with his quiet manner in the office will make him have a great bedside manner after surgery.
I don't know how he is or was to other patients, I just know how he is with me. I found him to be upfront, but a gentleness about him.
I discovered that Dr. Colquitt does have a quiet chuckle. I really felt like I was in great hands with my surgeon.

Dr. Colquitt is very knowledgeable on the subject of this kind of surgery and weight loss. He is a very kind man and is up front with you about the surgery. He and Dr. Ray do the surgeries together. I feel much safer knowing that both of them will be doing my surgery. The office staff are great! They are friendly and always make you feel special.
Angie Stewart leads the Nutrition Program and the Support Groups. The doctors attend the support group meetings also. She is very encouraging and is very well informed on this subject.

Dr. Ray and his staff have been just fantastic. I went to several doctors in my area and I was most impressed with Dr. Ray. He took time to get to know me and make sure I was educated properly before agreeing to do my surgery. He worked with me, encouraged me on my weight loss and was very supportive. He prayed with me on my very first visit and each one there after. I feel so blessed to have found him and I feel that he wants to help people improve their lives and their health, not just collect a lot of money. The staff in his office, especially Mary and Jeanie are wonderful. They are very caring, supportive and compassionate. I am very very pleased with my surgeon and his staff. I have been approved for surgery and am waiting for a date right now, so I will write more after my surgery. As of now, this office comes HIGHLY recommended to anyone in the area.

I first met Dr. Colquitt at his seminar. He is very straight and to the point. He really tells things like they are. After 3 or 4 visits to him, he seemed to get more and more personable. I definately trust him for this surgery. An added bonus is that he doesn't seem to be so money motivated as is the other surgeon in the Knoxville area, Dr. Colquitt's program fee is only $500.

My 1st impression of Dr. Colquitt was that he was experiend and knew what he was doing and that he wanted me to have a healthy life. My 1st impression has never changed. His office staff are very nice and very supportive. They have a good aftercare program with support group meetings which are run by the hospital nutritionist and Dr. Colquit is always in attendence. I would reccomend Dr. Colquitt to anyone. Also his office only charges $500 for the consultation cahrge which is alot more reasonable from the others in my area.

My first impression of Dr. Ray was that he has such a calming feeling to him. He seems very compassionate to his patients and never once did I feel rushed by him.
Dr.Ray has a policy that you must lose 5-10% of your body weight depending upon what your BMI is. That helps in the surgery plus shows the doctor that you can and will buy into the mind set that this is a life changing event and you've gotta work for the results that you desire. They just don't happen on their own.
He also has an excellent aftercare program.I am just starting with him but so far I am VERY pleased with him.
Dr. Ray's office staff are wonderful. I live about an hour and forty five minutes away from Maryville where Dr. Ray's office is and was not aware that they are an hour ahead of Crossville where I live. I got to the office what I thought was thirty minutes early but as I glanced up at the clock on the wall to see what time I should write that I arrived I realised I was actually late. They took me in anyway and was VERY nice about doing so. Of course I apologised to them for the mistake. You can bet that won't happen again. Everyone there seemed very nice.

Dr. Colquitt and his staff and very kind and knowlegable. I was really impressed that Dr. Colquitt stayed for the support group and also stayed after to answer any questions. Both Dr. Colquitt and Ray did my open surgery and I got to see both of them in the hospital post op. I am just very impressed with them both as well as the entire staff at Premier Surgical Associates.
