Dr. Lederer was very informative, friendly and absolutely charming. He was very thorough as he went over pertinent information about the surgery and the specific, lifelong changes I would have to make post-op. I love that Dr. Lederer is an natural ball of energy and I know a go-getter: He's that and more!rnrnAs well as having a great surgeon, Dr. Lederer's staff is tops! Post-op phone calls, aftercare, and just everyone apart of HCMC's Bariatric Program have left an positive impression on my life.

The staff at HCMC are excellent. I couldn't have chosen a better surgeon than Dr Lederer. His skills as a surgeon are a big plus, but he is a man who goes beyond surgery. I had some complications (easily fixable once identified) and he was with me (in person and by phone) the entire 5 days I was in the hospital. He accompanied me to Xray at 2am, stood by me the entire time. Called from a convention he had to attend, several times. His \"team\" was also constantly in contact with me. His partner, Dr. Krook, looked in on me when Dr Lederer was away. What a great guy! I am in awe of the care I had. I will forget about the pain and struggle of my recovery, but I'll never forget the incredible care I received from all of the people who took care of me at HCMC.

I have to say Dr. Lederer was fantastic. His Surgery cordinator Becky, hoooraaah for her too. Christine the Dietician. I a mean she is the best, I couldnt say anything else about her, wowowowow! I know she is loved by everyone she is assigned too. She is a tough cookie, but really is passionate about what she does, she is certainly in the right place if she has ever thought about changing jobs, unless it was a promotion, she needs to stay right where she is! She is fantastic.rnrnAll of Dr. Lederers staff was great. Becky is real patient and down to earth. I really enjoyed my little conversations with her. And she was right, the staple removal was not even painful! Dr. Lederer came to see me before the surgery, and then twice after he came to see me, once in the afternoon, and once in the late evening. He held my hand and was so reassuring. I had staph infection the last 2 times I had surgery done, and I was so scared about this, he took extra time to assure me that was not going to happen this time! The anestesiologist, I know I spelled that wrong, gave me some good antibitotics before. Its been 5 days and no signs of any infection. Hooraay! I see the doctor again next week, I am excited to see him, to see everyone! What a great bunch of people, I am lucky to have gotten to work with them!

When I first met Dr. Lederer I was instantly impressed by his friendly, confident, and caring manner. He patiently answered all my questions and made me feel at ease about the upcoming surgery. His support staff of nurses, dieticians, and insurance gurus were always friendly, supportive, and willing to go the extra mile. Early on in the approval process I was frustrated by all the requirements: psych evaluation, support group meetings, and monthly dietician meetings. However, looking back I now view those months as a valuable time to start getting my mind around this life-changing procedure. rnrnOn the day of surgery, Dr. Lederer met with me twice before I even went into the operating room just to see how I was doing. He also said he would call my mom right after surgery to give her an update because she was 300 miles away and couldn't travel. My surgery went smoothly, and Dr. Lederer checked in with me twice that afternoon, and he and his staff checked in several times the next morning. I felt like I had all the information and support I needed when I checked out the day after surgery.rnrnI highly recommend the HCMC facility to anyone in the Minneapolis area who is considering bariatric surgery. Anyone interested is welcome to attend a support group that meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month at HCMC for people who have had the lap band or the bypass.

I have an extremely competent and professional Dr. who put me at ease and made me feel as though I was not a failure, but my surgery had failed me. rnrnDr. Lederer fixed an incisional hernia and sewed up my Peterson Space while banding me laproscopically. I received great care from the HCMC staff and look forward to improved health and continuing success with Dr. Lederer and his bariatric team!rnrn

Dr. Lederer was recommended to me by a relative that worked with him in surgery. He has a solid reputation for being an excellent surgeon. rnrnI was very pleased with the office staff and their program. The hospital, HCMC, was great! I loved the staff. rnrnIMHO, Dr. Lederer comes off as being rather arrogant. He could use a humility pill. :) (I just rolled my eyes at him) I was very happy with my care and results. I had no surgical or post surgical problems.

Dr. Lederer is great. He is direct and to the point. He is one of the best at what he does and I would not have had any other surgeon. He cares about his patients and makes sure they are taken care of by only the best staff. After my surgery, all my aftercare appointments were already set for me and he and his staff visited me on the day of the surgery and the day after to make sure all my questions were answered. He talks about the risks of the surgery and address what his rates are compared to the state and national rates. If I have to have any other surgeries, he will be my first choice. Dr. Lederer an his staff are the best.
