Houston Bariatric Surgical Associates Bariatric Center

I chose Dr. Glorsky because of a few interesting referrals I received from WLS patients in a support group I attended. I called for an appointment which took 2 months to get. That was a hard wait but definately worth it. I met with him and had many questions. He took his time and answered everything completely. I did not feel rushed at all. He had a wonderful bedside manner and I felt very comfortable talking to him. The appointment was non-pressure. Dr. Glorsky is starting a wonderful bariatric surgery center emphasizing a great aftercare program. Complete with follow up visits with the surgeon and an on-staff dietician. He also holds monthly group meeting which focuses on education for pre and post op patients. I can't imagine going to another doctor. Dr. Glorsky is wonderful and not only do I think he will do the best job with my surgery, but I think he will do the best job taking care of me post-op.

I haven't had the opportunity to meet him yet but, I've heard some really positive things about him. I've spoken to some of his other post-op patients and, they were really impressed with him.

I'm looking forward to meeting him on May 29th for my pre-op. I pray for the best.

Dr. Glorsky is absolutely awesome. He is, as described by others to me, quite thorough. You feel as though you're safe because he'll leave no possible problem/issue unresolved or evaluated. Even though I just met him, I feel as though he is the best choice in Houston. He is a general surgeon so, he can address any problem. He will sit and talk to you as long as you need. I never got the impression that he was in a hurry. He answers all your questions thoroughly and completely. His touch is extremely gentle and he is quite considerate and mindful of how awkward it can be for an obese person to disrobe and show their body parts.

He has a new nurse practicioner, Connie. She is as awesome as he. She is coming to the practice from being the nurse assisting in these surgeries so her level of knowledge is vast as well. From what I understand, there's a new nutritionist, too. I haven't met her yet.

I highly recommend this practice. If you're in/around Houston, look them up first.

I had originally chosen Dr. Frank Moody to do my procedure, but his surgical schedule and personal schedule were a little to full and I elected to switch to Dr. Glorsky. On my first visit with Dr. Glorsky he was somewhat abrasive, but after seeing him a couple of times since my opinion has changed completely. I am not always the easiest to deal with when I am aggravated. He is very through and wants to make sure that all his bases are covered, which is definitely a good thing in a procedure like this. I believe he will have a good bedside manner while I am in the hospital and I would recommend him to anyone seeking wls in the Houston area.

MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF HIM WAS THAT HE WAS SO YOUNG BUT HE SEEMS VERY KNOLEDGABLE AND VERY UNDERSTANDING-THE VISITS ARE LONG BECAUSE HE SEEMS TO BE GETTING MORE POPULAR AND MY LAST VISIT TOOK 3 HRS OF WAITING BUT ITS WORTH IT-THE STAFF SEEEMS NICE, AT LEAST NOW THAT HIS HEAD NURSE IS LEAVING(FIRED?)WHO KNOWS BUT I COMPLAINED ABOUT HER, MY SURGERY WOULD BE DONE BY NOW IF SHE HADNT JUST LET MY FILE SIT SOMEWHERE FOR A MONTH AND A HALF, EVERYTHING WAS READY FOR HER TO SEND IN TO THE INSURANCE AND SHE JUST DIDNT DO IT, SO WHEN I MADE AN APPT. AND COMPLAINED AND DR. GLORSKY REALIZED WHAT SHE DID, HE APPOLOGIZED AND HAD IT APPROVED THE NEXT DAY AND GAVE ME A SURGERY DATE FOR MAY 24TH,FINALLY! I REALLY LIKE HIM A LOT. I WILL LET YOU KNOW MORE AFTER MY SURGERY

{4/19/02} Well, I,m just now updating my info! I saw the Dr on March 6. He was GREAT!! He made my husband and I feel very comfortable! He answered all my questions and then some. His office staff has been nice as well. Debra especially.{his nurse} since my info was submitted to the insurance co I have been calling her non stop! She has been GREAT! Wish me luck!!

(3/10/02) Finaly I am updating my doc to Dr. Glorsky, even though I am not sure he is showing up in the page of Houston docs. yet. He is my surgeon. He works with Dr. Moody and does the LAP. He is great. He takes time to really talk to his patients and is a fantastic surgeon!<hr width=50%>(1/23/02) Met with Dr. Moody today and I am very comfortable with him and his team. He does not perform the LAP procedure, but others on the team do. He will be in the operating room. He seems very caring, and, as many had told me, I feel like I will be in very good hands with him.
