J. Bradford Doxey, M.D. Bariatric Center

My first impression of the doctor was that he was very knowledgable and treated my knowledge of medical problems respectfully. His office staff were very easy to deal with I don't know how they felt about me since I bugged the heck out of them to make sure this got pushed through! So far I can't say anything wrong about the surgeon. He seems very personable and easy to talk with. I have spoken with other patients of his and he is just that way! Well post op now I think the same for the doc. He is very attuned to his patients. Finally on the last day I remember to write my questions down which helped. Anything that I asked for he gave me in regards to meds etc. I definately would recommend him.I also want to say after my first post op visit he was incredibly kind. Actually saw a bit of his sense of humor.

I can not say enough about Dr. Doxey and his staff. I travelled a long way to their office and ran into a few delays. I was over an hour late and didn't show up until closing time on a Friday. They all stayed around and waited on me (I had called letting them know I was running late)and were very friendly and helpful.
Dr Doxley is a very friendly man with a good patient relation skills. I am very impressed and feel he is going to be a competant surgeon.

Dr. Doxey is great!! Very nice and caring. He performs RNY open and lap. He also has an office in Va Beach and it is called SouthEastern Surgical Associates. The people in both offices are wonderful and Melissa (the insurance girl) is so friendly and helpful. I must have talked to her a million times before surgery and she was always very nice! I had a 5 day hospital stay with my surgery and I was very happy with that, Dr. Doxey didn't try to rush me out of the hospital and wanted to make sure that I was doing really well before I went home. Overall I highly recommend Dr. Doxey and would not change a thing about my decision. I also want to add how nice and caring the staff of Va. Dr. Doxey is friendly, reserve, informative
caring individual. He talks to you on the phone if you have concerns and is office staff is outstanding!! He will answer all questions and supply you with information to take home to read. A support group meets one time per month. Dr. Doxey supplies you with information about the risk of the surgery. He is straightforward, but not frightening. I consider him to be an outstanding surgeon. I consider him to be competent and he has a wonderful bedside manner. I was lucky enough to room with a person who had had this surgery the day before and also had Dr. Doxey as a surgeon. We truly felt we had been blessed to be able to help each other during our hospital stay.

I have only met with him one time and will see him again before surgery. I found him to be a very kind and concerned doctor who whats to help you achieve an improved quality of life. I am looking forward to having him on my side through this process. His office staff were wonderful in getting appointments made and the insurance sumitted.

As I continue the journey with him I will update the page for others to read.
