J. Chris Eagon Bariatrics Bariatric Center

Dr.Eagon was so nice and he didn't sugarcoat anything with the surgery. My impression never changed. Everyone around his office is extremely kind and always on top of everything. There is nothing to dislike about Dar.Eagon. I trusted him with my life and im pretty sure his future patients feel the same way. Aftercare was greatly emphasized. He does have a structured aftercare program. The pros and cons are addressed greatly when you have your evaluation.

Dr Eagon seemed ok. He was very straight foward. He comes with high recomendations from several physicians and a few other health professionals. His office staff appeared very competent and professional. I have had several phone calls with one of his secretaries who always appears to be aggitated, but I'm sure she is dealing with alot of stress,he is such a wanted man, it took 6 months to get in to see him and it will be a total of 10 months by the time I have my surgery.

My first impression was that he was warm and caring. After my surgery my impression changed completely. He only came to see me in the hospital once and was very dismissive when I told him I was having trouble breathing. I basically pawned me off on the residents who were horrible and didn't listen to me at all. I told them repeatedly I couldn't breathe, they never listened and eventually dishcarged me. I left and went to another ER and had several blood clots in my lungs and one in my leg. I easily could have had a stoke, heart attack or died. While I was in the second hospital (Eagon didn't go there) my doctor did my leak test and pulled my drain. When I got out I call Dr. Eagon to see when he wanted to see me and he said 6 weeks. I felt like he didn't give a damn about me. Overall I would rate him very poor and say he is in it for the money. The nurses at Barnes suck, you get terrible treatment, his surgical competence seems to have been good. Thank God for something. It seems like an idiot could have figured out I had blood clots.

Not very personable...all business ...after getting to know him he is very caring! Staff is fine. Aftercare is excellent. Good reports to my local Dr. Went over all risk factors. On scale of 1-10 he rates a 10! (also had inside help) as a member of the medical community, we have "insider" info on the good-bad-and ugly of the physians...he was highly recommened by those in the know!

Dr. Eagon is very professional, he makes you very aware of every risk involved. He doesn't want you to go in with your eyes closed. He was very focused on listing the bad points however and could list the benefits as well in my experience. The office staff is helpful and friendly. I was scared when I went in and the nurses talked with me and helped me to loosen up. I went to his office two weeks out and will be going again in a month. He asks lots of and makes sure you are following the rules. Overall he was very competent and a good surgeon. I didn't see him until my last nght in the hospital so I can't rate his bedside manner, but I am doing great after surgery so I would assume his surgical competence is great.

Dr. Eagon and his staff, They were all wonderfull. The only bad thing was my appt.
was at 12:30 pm to see him and I ended up
waiting until 6 pm because he was in a
emergency surgery. I was the first patient
out of 4 waiting all day for him and He was a
little rushed to get us out of there but was
very thourough and told me all the risks that
are involved of having the surgery and then
told me I'm at the very limit of being able to have it done lap and gave me the pro's and
cons of each and asked me to choose what I
wanted and I chose the Lap. My first
impression of him is a good one. His staff in
his office were very appologenic and treated
us wonderfuly (Even came out and gave my kids
a popcicle) I can't wait to start my journey.
If anyone has any questions about Eagon email
me at [email protected] I had the surgery and Have to say they are on top of things.
there is a team of 6 to 8 other surgeons that
assist Eagon in the surgery and the hospital
follow up care they all would come to see me
in the morn and few minutes later Eagon would
do his rounds too. I liked them all....It is
a teaching hosp and they were most likely
inturns or something but when going in to the
Surgery they were all very nice and supportive to my needs.
