I met him when my husband had the surgery before I did. He was and is caring and supportive for us. I am still very impressed with him, as I am still having problems and he is right there with me trying to find out what is going on. His office staff is tremendously helpful and have followed up with me continuously! I have no complaints about him or his partner Dr. Korlitz. He is thorough and caring.I am involved in a program that had us in both before and aftercare, and I am grateful for that. My husband didn't have problems post op, and they are great with him. I have had problems, and they are still right there for me. He was very honest and My hsuband and I have spoken at information sessions with the Doctor. He is very informative and they didn't hide anything. I give Dr. Fegelman and Dr. Korlitz an A+. They have been great with everything. I am blessed with them.

So far, I've had limited interaction with Dr. Fegelman. I had a brief meeting with him prior to surgery and he took time to answer my questions. I'd done quite a bit of research and my overall health was good, so we didn't have a lot of issues to discuss. He visited me twice after surgery. I definitely feel that he is competent. His nurse practioner Mary is great and gave me my discharge instructions. It was a very thorough process. I do wish Dr. Fegelman were a litle more kind and caring when visiting. I don't get a really "warm and fuzzy" feeling when I he visited- he is very short and to the point. I have not had problems to date, so I can't comment on how he would be in that type of situation.

First impression was that he was laid back and personal yet competent and professional. He seemed to care about the outcome of his patients and wanted the best. Over time I could see that my first impression was correct.
The office staff has always been helpful and respectful. I cannot think of anything that I like least...
Dr Fegelman does surgeries for people that go to the Jewish Weight Management Center. He has an ongoing and close relationship with the staff there and as a team, they guide the aftercare. I truly felt like my hand was being held throughout each phase. The Jewish program is the best program in my area. Very comprehensive! Dr Fegelman gives info sessions along with the Jewish director, Susan. Risks are discussed in this forum. He also gives written info as well as verbal info during the appt. As far as rating Dr Fegelman...on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best...I'd give him a 10. For the last interesting question about choosing which is better-competence vs bedside manner...Surgical competence would have to be the winner if I could only choose one. A good bedside manner sure is nice though.

a little impersonal at first, then softened after consult and subsequent conversations. The office staff was helpful and friendly. I wish they had more "barartic" experience rather than just the surgical approach knowledge. You should be direct and ask all the hard questions on what to expect and what not to expect. I think they should coordinate with the Jewish Weight Loss clinic a bit more closely to structure a longer aftercare program and what test to have and what supplements to take to obtain optimal results long and shor term. I had no problems overall and am glad I had the procedure. I liked his personality for the most part and felt he answered my questions when asked

When I first met him he seemed capable, informative, caring, and honest.

He continued to be the same, but a bit of a sense of humor evolved as well.

His office staff is great. Bobbie got me throught the tough times with the insurance woes.

I liked the fact that he was thourough.

I would reccomend him in an instance.

He is involved in the Jewish Hospital Weight Management program and strongly suggest you go by their guidelines.

Yes, the Jewish Hospital program is very structured and helpful.

He was extremely honest and above board about the risks.

I would give him an A. His competence is great and his manner is good also.
