My husband had had prvious surgery with Dr Nizzi and we both fell in love with him. He is very kind and professional. My sister works in an out pt surgery center and she recommended him highly because of his surgical skills and how he treats the staff. He will be my surgeon for as long as I need him.rn Their office strongly insists on follow up care for a life time after this surgery, they also had several sessions before surgery so you understood what to expect from the surgery and from his office. I would rate him a 8 out of 10. The office staff is a little overwhelmed with the volunm of pt's and do tend to rush thru the visit.
Well Dr. David Kam saved my life on Sept 19th 2007. He did my rny without a hitch. I must say he is one of the most amazing doctors in the world. Very effiecent and personable. It will be a great loss to the Barix clinic when Dr. Kam leaves. He phone me personally to let me know that he was leaving that it had nothing to do with the clinc and offered if I was more comfortable having one of his associates to take my case over. How many dr's in Canada do that!!!!! I will miss you Dr. Kam. Thank you.
Dr. Kam was great!!! I was very nervous about the whole idea of having surgery!! At my initial consult with him it was clear that he knew what was going on!! He explained every aspect of the surgery to me, answered all of my questions and some that I didn't even know that I had!! He explained step by step what they were going to do and why!! He also let me know the alternatve plans if it could not be completed laproscopically and all of the possible outcomes!! I was very comfortable with him! On the day of surgery he arrived at pre-op and went over everything that was about to happen and answered MORE questions from me! Good guy!! I was still a nervous wreck though!! This had nothing to do with the doctor!! Post op, He was also there. Checking in and letting me know that I was good to go!! rnSo I did!! He was great!! I could't have ask for a better surgeon to guide me through such an important decision in my life!! By the way, It worked!! Over all I had an extremely positive experience with the Barix Clinic and Doctor Kam! I have been VERY LUCKY!!

When I first met Dr. Kam at my initial consultation he was very blunt and to the point. I wasn't sure if I liked him very much but I did like him as a surgeon and I was willing to overlook how I felt about him. After my two week surgery consultation he called me and just wanted to chat. We had the nicest \"chat\" and when I got off the phone I felt wonderful. I knew I had made the right choice in surgeon but also the right decision regarding WLS. After surgery, Dr. Kam came to see me everyday in the hospital. During discharge, he took his time and didn't rush any of my questions and that meant alot. rnrnI would rate Dr. Kam as a very excellent surgeon.
Wow first impression was unbelievable, I've never been so comfortable with a doctor in my life. Everything about him put me so at ease and soon after talking to him I realized I had made the right choice. I had previously seen a surgeon in Toronto and for some reason I just wasn't comfortable with him. I highly recommend Dr Kam to anyone.
I found Dr. Kam to be very personable and very caring and imformative.
