My first impression was that he was confident in his skills and that he might be a little bored with the education process, but I'm sure he cares about his patients.rnMore and more I see that he is a surgeon that is available to his patients. The hospital he works through has a very tight program. You can usually get a hold of someone that can help you through whatever and if not they pass the message along.rnThe staff was, and is, wonderful.rnI would tell a new patient not to be afraid to ask questions and discuss the pros and cons of any of the surgeries he performs.rnAftercare is huge with Munson Medical Center. They tell you to be prepared for a life time of aftercare. You don't go into any procedure thinking it's a quick fix and now you're on your own. They arrange follow up visits and expect you will keep up your end of the bargin.rnrnIf how I felt after the surgery is any indication of Dr. Slikkers' competency, he's a great surgeon.

I liked Dr. Kam right from the start. He had been the surgeon for 2 girls that I work with and came highly recommended. I attended his seminar and found him to be very brilliant and kind, and a man of few words. He did not beat around the bush, did not sugar-coat anything, just straight to the point.rnI recently saw him for my 2 week check up and was sick. He was quick to rule things out and had a plan for me in very quick time. I appreciate this in a Dr.rnMy surgery went well, and each day I am feeling better and stronger. I would definately recommend Dr. Kam to any one exploring their options for WLS.

My first impression of Dr. Kam was very caring. He talks to you not through you! While in hospital, I had several visits from Dr. Kam.rnHe explained things in a way that everyone could understand. My family and myself felt confident with the clinic and the doctor. rnrnThe staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Very caring, astute, dedicated indviduals.rnrn

My first impression of Dr. Kam was that he was definitely someone who wasn't going to let me fail. My impression of him didn't change at all, he is an encouragement to me and I wish him the best.rnrnDr. Kam's office staff is wonderful, the entire staff at the Barix clinic is wonderful, nice and kind--if ever need anything ever again I want them to be there with me, especially those who had to find my veins, great job--not even the Red Cross could find my veins!rnrnMy entire experience with Barix and Dr. Kam and his staff was wonderful. I recommend them to anybody and everybody. I rate him and his staff a 10 out of 10, perfect.

Dr Kam seemed very professional on our first meeting. He answered all the questions I had without hesitation. His staff was helpful and informative also.

Dr. Kam is very professional. He has a clean, sharp, honest look that gives a person an immediate impression that he is serious about his career choice. He made me feel comfortable and at ease the day of surgery. His confidence was appearent without arrogance. I feel that I made an excellent choice.

My first impression of Dr. Kam was that he was very knowledgable & seemed very honest. He presented the seminar that I attended and he sat with me for a consultation and explained the risks and advantages of the surgery. He was very friendly during the consultation. I didn't see Dr. Kam again until the day of my surgery. He sat down with my husband and I and went over everything again. I felt very comfortable with him. I was rather groggy in the hospital when he came to see me but overall I would have to say that Dr. Kam was wonderful! Great experience and I would definitely recommend him as a surgeon!

Well...it's 6/5/07 and I still think Dr. Kam is Awesome...I enjoyed my first check up he was very excited about my progress and I feel that I can tell him anything...a very genuine guy he really does care! He was truly a blessing to have as my surgeon!rnrnMy first impression of Dr. Kam was what a smart aleck...he has a great sense of humor! I felt very at ease and enjoyed his light joking manner, but he was very frank about the surgery. I feel that he is the best choice in my state for a surgeon...I have spoken to a few others. I think if I have to find a negative...the initial consultation is a bit hurried. I do realize that there are surgeries, seminars and checking in on patients, so I understand the brevity. I am looking forward to writing an even better review after my 4/25/07 surgery!
