Richard Dickerman, M.D. Bariatrics Bariatric Center

Dr. Dickerman was very honest about what to expect. He didn't give me any expectations of being "Twiggy" as he put it. He told me what a healthy body weight for my frame is, and to expect the surgery to be painful. He also told me I would have to eat the way I was supposed to, or I would stretch the pouch and would have gone through all that for nothing.

1. Honest and confident.
2. It didn't.
3. Organized and competent.
4. N/A
5. I recommend him. His reputation is as a perfectionist. Very good.
6. Personal aftercare, very much.
7. Yes.
8. Honestly.
9. Excellent.
10. Both great.
I have not had any negative experience with Dr. Dickerman, his staff, or the surgery. I am very pleased. The results have been exactly as he explained they would be.

My first empression of Dr. Dickerman was good, he
explained the procedure to me exactly
what would be happening, how long I
would be in the hospital as so on.
His staff was very helpful and kind.
He sent me to a dietitian to explain
to me how my diet will be after the
surgery. He went over all the risks
of surgery. So far i would give him
a rating of 9. I have not had surgery
yet but am hoping to by September 2001.

Dr. Dickerman is fantastic! Very helpful and caring. My only constructive criticism would be for him to offer printed material on gastric bypass surgery. My info was derived from WLS and a book purchased dealing with a patient's viewpoint of the surgery. His office staff was extremely helpful. The nutritionist he requires you to work with is also knowledgable and supportive.
