Dr Schroder and his Nurse Debbie Younger are a wonderful team. They are professional and caring. They encourage their patients and know their stuff. I have continued to be impressed. They make sure you have plentyof follow-up post-op.

My first impression of Dr. Schroder, was that he was completely competent. He had done so many, and it showed. My impression later was that he cared, I felt completely happy that I had chosen him. Staff was knowledgeable, and friendly. He wants me to go to all the appointments. He also wants me to eat the foods he has scheduled. Right now liquids, then soft foods after 2 weeks. I knew what he had told me because I had already looked it up. However, I had none so far. I would rate him #1...1st class all the way.. The best decision I ever made. His surgical competence was, of course, great, his bedside manner after surgery, I really do not remember much.....the first day I was out of it, the second day it was encouraging me that I will be able to go home the next if the X-rays showed no leak. He was very professional. I am very thankful to have had him do the surgery.

Dr. Gregory L. Schroder
I met him today 8/12/03. My first impression of him was that he knew what he was doing. He seemed very easy to talk to. Even though he was almost rushing me out the office. I understood that because he was in ER when I first got there and it was my initial consultation. I do feel that he's good at what he does, and very though. Debbie his nurse is very energetic.I can't wait to get my approval..so I can be on the other side.

I met Dr Schroder today at an inservice on Morbid Obesity, what a great guy! He seems really concerned for his patients. I can't wait to talk to him 1:1 at my first appointment 04-14-04.

Dr. Schroder was wonderful when I met him. He was willing to answer all questions that I asked and made sure I understood the risks. Although he thought my list of know allergies to medications was painkillers I was currently on, if it was then I would be a drug addict and have no need for this surgery. I did feel however that the way he set up appointments for his wls surgry patients was abit of an assembly line. All in all though he seemed like a very good person and I will have no problems having my very first surgery with him.

My first impression of Dr. Schroder was very positive. I was able to schedule an appointment within 3 weeks of my call. His LPN, Debbie, was very friendly and knowledgeable. We played phone tag for over a week before we were able to hook up, but after seeing all she does, I understood!
The first visit was well orchestrated. They do this all the time, and know what works. First, I met with Debbie and talked about the coverage issues, and my comorbid conditions. Then I saw a video with two other women who were considering the surgery....set up a little support group right there. Meeting Dr. Schroder came next, and he talked about the specifics of the surgery and answered my questions. Of course, I didn't have a lot of questions since I'd been on this website and learning lots already. But, I understood more about what it meant for me. He also spoke some about the aftercare program, which is the key to making all this work. The risks were covered in our meeting, and the video. I would say that I had a great experience with this meeting..I feel more than ever that this is the right step for me.

Dr. Schroder was reccomended to my by my PCP Dr. Jones and I was told nothing but great things about him. After meeting with Dr. Schroder & his nurse Debbie for the 1st time I knew I would be in good hands. I have spent almost 9 months fighting Cigna for approval for my surgery & Debbie has been right there when ever I had a question or needing something else faxed to Cigna. She calls back when I leave messages and has been very helpful in informing me from the get go the battle with Cigna that I would have. My Surgery is scheduled for 6/23/03 and I am SOO EXCITED!!

<p align="left">I had my first appointment with Dr. Schroder on Dec 4, 2002. He is a great doctor. He gave me a lot of information about the surgery and allowed me to ask any questions that I might have had. Although I have had a great experience with Dr. Schroder, I can not say the same about the staff. Maybe it is just me but I have left messages and never received a return call. I have to call early in the morning to speak to someone. I know that I am not the only person they are dealing with at the time but I would like to have a call return sometime.

My first impression of Dr. Schroder was a good first impression. The staff was extremely nice and caring. He went over all the risks and benefits for the surgery. His bedside manner was wonderful.
