Could not ask for a better physcian or staff. They were great, Margo sent in all of info and got approoval the 1st time. Dr Isbell explains everything and has a very good bedside manor.

I guess my commet is to lumes296 my first visit with Dr Isbell was in January of 2010 I waited six months for Medicaid to deney me because they said I didnt have enough visits to my doctor about weight loss when you only need six and I had eight. The insurance lady as you call her highlighted my paperwork so that the people at medicaid would be alble to see it with their tiny eyes and she reapplied for me and sent my paper work back three times before medicaid gave them an answer which was that I was approved and medicaids excuses for it taking so long is they lost my paperwork. You see Medicaid does not want to pay for you to have surgery that is why they make you go through so much crap. In my case I would have to disagree with you about the insurance lady cause she is trying her hardest to help everybody it just takes a long time and by the way she just called me and let me know i was approved yesterday so it took medicaid over a year to do thier job. Also Dr Isbells is the only doctor that I was able to find in the whole state that would even take a medicaid patient cause other doctors dont want to deal with medicaid.

I had my initial consult with this doctor in august 2010. he seems really nice. His staff should be replaced though. The insurance lady who works for him does not do her job. I have left several messages for her to call me and she never returns any of my calls. It has been over a month since I saw this doctor and the insurance lady still has not mailed off my paperwork to medicaid for approval. The dietician was suppose to mail me paperwork 3 weeks ago and she never mailed me anything. The dietician is also impossible to contact. The insurance lady told me she has 3 other patients on medicaid who have been waiting more than 3 months for approval, the medicaid lady told me in Montgomery that this is because the insurance lady never mailed in all of the required documents for these patients to be approved. Dr. Isbell needs to have his insurance lady replaced as she does not do her job.

Dr isbell is a great dr he seems very nice and considered of you. he will answer all your questions you want to know. he lets you know all the risks of the surgery and everything you need to know about the surgery and after care. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Isbell was amazing. I was very worried about surgery, but he made everything clear before I went into the operating room. His entire staff was supportive and helpful. He is concerned with health and requires several follow-up appointments to make sure everything is going smoothly. I never felt worried while I was under his care or the staff's care. His reputation exceeds his excellence in bariatric surgery.rnrnI would refer him to anyone who was considering gastric bypass surgery.

Dr. Steve and his OR team were great the day of my surgery just knowing his nurses had the surgery also was very comforting. They all were so nice I couldn't have asked for any better treatment.

Dr. Steve was a good DR. before during and after my surgery, he is very concern about his patience, and i really like the time he takes up with me , i would reccomend him very highly.

Very pleasant and caring Dr. I felt at ease talking with him.

I think he's a great surgeon with great bedside manners too, just love him.

My first impression was great but I also work with him at the hospital as an RN. He is very dedicated and cares about his patient's outcome.

Dr. Isbell was kind and informative and made me feel very comfortable. He had performed my gallbladder surgery several years ago. All of his staff were so great. He covered the procedure really well, benefits and risks.
