Dr. Bellanger was very personable and professional. His office staff was nice and returned phone calls in a timely manner. they also are always willing to help with any questions. He has a 2 week post-op high protein supplement plan you can buy from him instead of searching all over for high protein drinks after surgery. I would rate him a 10 overall. From what I had researched his surgical skills where impeccable. He appears to be a little on the shy side.

He was very calm and patient, didn't rush through our meeting. The only negative thing I might say is he does so many surgeries, there isn't a lot of personal interaction. You don't get the feeling he's going to remember you the next time he sees you, but he's a terrific surgeon whose done over 500 VSGs.rnThere hasn't been much aftercare because I live 500 miles from his office, but they sent me home with written instructions and told me to call anytime.rnI asked a list of questions about risks, and he was forthcoming and informative.rnHe has a terrific track record with no deaths and only one leak when he first started doing VSGs. I would rate him an \"excellent\" doctor. I thought his surgical skills and bedside manner were both great. It doesn't hurt that he's really cute on top of everything else.

My first impression was oh he's cute I'll trust him to take my stomach out and throw it away. He was wonderful, great bedside manner and compassionate which you don't see in very many md's I here to announce, I work with alot of them. The office staff was very polite and went out their way to help me when I was in need. He does emphasize that the surgery is a tool and a tool only, it's what you do with it how well your success will be. He did cover all the risk of the surgery and answered any questions I had. I would give him a 10/10 over all. Both his surgical competence and his bedside manner were great. There is nothing bad I have to say about him.

I have nothing but praise for Dr. Hargroder and his staff. Every step of the process is clearly explained, my questions were answered before I had a chance to even ask. Everyone involved in the procedure itself exudes competence and a feeling of well being. I would highly recommend Dr. Hargroder to anyone considering bariatric surgery.

Dr. Hargroder was great. His office staff was very helpful. I liked the fact that he has a 0 morality rate. He adressed all of my concerns and did not rush through my preop appt even though there were several other pts waiting that day. He then went over exactly what to expect the day of surgery again. I was extremely satisfied with Dr. Hargroder.

I am down 40 pounds and off all my Insulin Resistance medicine. I feel better than I have felt in 20 years! Excellant bedside manner and his staff is GREAT! My first impression of Dr. Hargroder & his PA Holly was good. I had a Lap-Band in the past that had left lots of scar tissue. I needed someone with experience & great surgical skills to clean up the mess. He was very honest in saying he was not 100% sure he could perform the VSG under the circumstances, but assured me there had never been one he could not do. Well, he performed the surgery in about one hour.My recovery has been very uneventful with minimal pain and nausea. I'm very thankful for his success.

I had been to a few of these seminars with different doctors. I just didnt feel at ease with any of them until I met Dr hargroder. He seemed to be on top of his game and I knew from researching different doctors he was the one. Everyone at the office was so on top of everything. St Elizabeths hospital in Gonzales was a great hospital. Everyone was so nice. I had minimal pain after surgery and 2.5 weeks later I am feeling great. 17 days after surgery I have lost 21 lbs. and I feel great. I would highly recomend Dr Hargroder . Joan

My first impression was a good one. He seemed very competent and had a pleasant personality. His office staff is overall friendly however it seems that they are more money oriented then patient oriented after the surgery is completed. The entire program for presurgery is structured well. They claim to have a post surgery aftercare program that meets on wednesday nights but in the meetings I attended there was never anyone from the doctors office in attendance nor had there been in quite sometime and it was a source of discontent among the people in attendance. Overall I would rate his surgical skill as Excellent. Although on my post op exam no one took my blood pressure or looked at my incisions. All they did was weigh me and then put me in a room to talk to the surgeon who just asked general questions as to how I was doing. He didnt do an exam of any kind either.

Hi everyone...I have scheduled my surgery for Dec. 4. I have read on the website that Cindy is the greatest. Well, I have a compaint. My pre-op was scheduled by her for Nov 25 at St. Elizabeths. I get a call from St. Elizabeth's 2 days before I am supposed to have my pre-op telling me they can't do it. I live in Texas and had already scheduled to be off work for those days. Cindy dropped the ball somewhere and never called the hospital to confirm my dates. I was also given the wrong time to be at the new patient orientation. I would have missed that. As of right now, I am not a very happy patient. Hopefully, after I meet Dr. Hargroder my attitude will change towards his office staff. But, CONGRATS TO KATIE....she got me a pre-op for the day before my surgery...thanks a million Katie.
