I liked DR.Ali, he answered all my questions

He was straight forward and to the point. He answered all my questions and was very thorough.
I got to know him a little better at his resource meetings called "Staples for Life."
He is a very caring individual and seems totally committed to helping people with an obesity
problem. His office staff was patient and informative.

Dr. Ali was very nice! I really liked his bedside manner and his ability to stay calm and focused and answer all of my questions. Just look at the man's hands! He knows what he's doing. He was upfront about something I asked him and that impressed me greatly. I asked him if anyone in his care died after surgery. He answered truthfully. He said that he had been talked into doing surgery on a 67 year old woman with terrible vascular disease. She blew a blood clot and it killed her a few days after surgery. Dr. Ali told me that he wished he could have changed his mind and not taken someone so risky. The patient had insisted on taking the risk. Other than that...he is great. I trust him. Great guy! Go for it! He's in Port Huron, MI.

I have to tell you that Dr. Ali's follow-up is terrific. He called me at home the day after I went home from the hospital! Also plan to go to perodic check-ups with the doctor. At first it is every month, then every three months, if you're doing ok. Dr. Ali has a good bedside manner, even though he gets right to the point and it seems like you spend 30 seconds in his office. Highly recommended!

Dr Ali is very personable. My wife and I enjoyed meeting him. He also was very informative.

His office staff is extremly helpful especially in following up with my PCP for all the information needed.

Dr. Ali is probably in his 60s and has been doing WLS for many years. He stopped doing VGB's because his experience with the RnY has been very positive.

Dr. Ali has 2 support groups 1 in Flint MI and the other in Port Huron. He has regular followup visits each year.

I was impressed with his answering all my questions without seeming to be bothered by them. He was impressed by my knowledge attained from this and other support groups.

Dr. Ali was most helpful in answering all of my concerns from my first visit, on. I was a nervous wreck, but he was so kind, and caring, I soon felt right at ease.
The office staff is always cheerful, dispite the fact that I kept calling them with my questions.

Thursday, Sept 9, one week before surgery, I had my pre-op testing. Sat. Sept. 12, I woke up coughing and very stuffy. I thought I'd have to postpone the surgery. I called Dr. Ali, in a panic. He put me on antibiotics, and told me to relax. Surgery is still on schedule, and I feel great. The pills are working, but I believe that the reassurance from Dr. Ali, helped the most.
