My first Impression was great Dr. Newhoff is wonderful never one time did he talk to me like I was just another fat person looking for an answer. When I went in to the hospital and got ready for surgery Dr. Newhoff came in and stayed with me until they we ready to take me back he acted as if I was the only one in the room with him, he was great. After surgery he was the same. His staff is great as well. After things I have heard about the other doctors, I am so happy I went with Newhoff.

everyone in his office and at weight for life have been very nice and VERY patient with my mom's freguent phone calls (mom told me to say that). Bummer is i got a date of March 13 only to find out a day later that the doc might have to postpone my surgery due to a bum elbow. I really hope he's okay by march cuz if not i'll have to wait til july which is the next time i'll be home from school. BIG bummer but stuff happens. GET WELL SOON DOC.

Dr. Newhoff was very informative and encouraging.
He has a clear cut approach and is mindful
to telling it like it is. He told me that I
am responsible for following his recomendations
and that I am in control. I followed his directions
carefully and had great results. My impression
has not changed. I loved working with his staff.
Weight for Life was a little hard to get ahold
of and not mindful at keeping me informed. I
had to keep in constant contact and initiate
everything or I would not be contacted back.
I would rate him very high. I felt very comfortable with
his surgical competency. I wouldn't say he is
warm and fuzzy, but he cares greatly about
his patients. The support group was a waste of
my time after the first couple of visits.
they helped before my surgery in helping
make up my mind and they helped right after
with managing my experience. But the group
was not run very well and the leader was
unorganized and appeared to not really care or
monitor the group effectively. The size was
way too big for any individual support. My concerns
were never really addressed.

Dr. Newhoff is really a nice guy...once you get to know him. He's got a rather dry sense of humor that evolves over time. He is particularly fond of his dogs and, since I have three, we had lots to talk about!

The office staff is friendly IN PERSON. However, they can be rather "short" (to put it kindly) on the telephone. They are competent at their jobs.

Dr. Newhoff does not emphasize aftercare all that much. However, you are automatically placed on the meetings mailing list. The group meets once a month and is a terrific help.

Dr. Newhoff is VERY forthcoming about the risks of surgery. Yet he is very confident in what he does after 20 years of surgery. That in and of itself boosted my confidence.

I think Dr. Newhoff is A+! His surgical competence is decidedly his most attractive feature. :)

A person I could get along with very well.
It grew to become a stronger source of trust.
Very helpful, patient, and confidential.
He is thinner than me. :)
That he is honest & trustworthy and that he is a skillfull surgeon.
I will have to come back to that question.
Again, I have yet to have my surgery.
Very clear.
10+
I know he will be great in both.

I was not sure he was the doctor. He was so very friendly and caring.

My husband and I both liked him very much from the start. He is very direct and he knows his stuff.
Small but nice. His office mgr. "David" is nicer in person than on the phone.
Loved him as a wonderful doctor, and my new best friend. Liked everything.
That he is the best!!!!!!
Insist on aftercare, eating proper diet and exercise.
Yes, but since I am from out of state I want be involed in the program.
He tells it like it is. He has done over 3000, and had never lost a patient yet, and very few complications.
A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Everything was great. I couldn't have ask for a better doctor. I researched the doctors and RNY surgery for about 1 yr. I knew I had the best doctor out there!!

Since I live over 200 miles from the location
of my surgery, I have seen/spoke with
Dr. Newhoff only twice. His experience and
resume is impressive with thousands of
surgeries to his credit. Very open person
who is willing to answer any questions but
be prepared to ask questions for yourself,
otherwise, he assumes you already know the
answers. He is very soft spoken and
responds with interest and obvious knowledge.
He explained that after care could be an
issue for me since I live 200 miles from
Phoenix.

Office Staff is very knowledgeable and
helpful...and very busy!!

Dr. Newhoff is an extremely competant surgeon with an incredible amount of experience with and committment to obesity surgery. My experience with him only confirmed what my research had told me about him. His office staff was friendly and supportive, I enjoyed meeting them and working with them.

I liked Dr. Newhoff just fine, personally as well as professionally. He does have a rather dry sense of humor, and is quite plain-spoken, which I found rather charming, but I can see where those traits could make him seem unfriendly or less than sympathetic to some.

Dr. Newhoff did a very good job covering both the nuts-and-bolts of the surgery and aftercare. I had my surgery almost 3 years ago, without the benefit of the support and information now available on the internet, so had to rely on Dr. Newhoff for most of my information - and did just fine!

I have recommended Dr. Newhoff to my two bests friends in the whole world; one is 18 months post-op, a tiny size 6 and doing great! and the other is scheduled for surgery next week!

My first impression of Dr. Newhoff is that he is informative man...He answers all your questions and has performed over 3000 surgeries. I attended a seminar that he gave and he was very honest and to the point which I thought was great..There was no question that was treated as being stupid..My overall impression is that he really like what he does and he really cares about his patients.
