The staff is very, very busy yet efficient and always helpful.

Be patient for this takes a long time to come together.

The risks have been explained.

The only draw back was I had no idea of the 4 month gap between the initial consult and any word from the Dr.

fabulous!! I would highly recommend him. Has great surgical skill and a great bedside manner. Actually, he trained many of the more visible bariatric surgeons in the Boston area. He has been doing this for almost 20 years now and I trust him completely. he has saved my life.

07/13/02- I had an open RNY two years ago on May 23, 2000. Dr. Forse worked magic on me! Perfect surgery, perfect scar, perfect follow-up care! I started at 220 (I'm only 4'11" tall) and went down to 130. I wasn't comfortable at 130, and put a few pounds on. Now I'm at 155 and happy! ...maybe I'll take 10 pounds off very slowly.
It's fun buying clothes of the rack !
Doctor Forse is the best, most skilled, medical marvel I've yet to meet.
Don't let his "dry" sense of humor, put you off. He puts all his energy into his work. (and notice his hands, you'll know you're in good hands, when you see how delft his fingers are).

My first impression of Dr. Forse was a good one. He is knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I didn't feel rushed during my appointment. His office staff is excellent. His post-op plan is quite extensive. He has an very busy practice yet refuses to let it become an assembly line of chubby people.

I MET WITH DR. BLACKBURN OF BETH ISREAL PRIOR TO SEEING DR FORSE AND HAVE TO SAY I LIKED DR. FORSE BETTER. HE WAS VERY NICE, UNDERSTANDING AND OFFERED ME GREATER HOPE THAT THE OTHER. BOTH PROGRAMS WERE BASICALLY THE SAME AS DR FORSE DID STUDY AT THE DEACONESS BEFORE THE MERGE. I HAVE HAD GREAT RESPONSE TO ALL MY QUESTIONS AND HIS SECRETARY JUNE IS VERY NICE AND SIMPATHETIC TO THE URGENCY OF GETTING THE CLOSEST APPOINTMENT TO YESTERDAY AS POSSIBLE

I met with Dr. Forse and I loved him. He was very good to me. He spend a good 45 minutes answering all my questions and when he was giving me a physical, he had me place my hand over him while he was feeling my belly so that I wouldn't be toooo ticklish. This trick actually helped!!! I have heard excellent things about him and I feel comfortable with him performing my surgery. Plus, the office staff, especially Adrienne who is the program coordinator is phenominal. Very kind and understanding. Adrienne called me the night before surgery to make sure I was okay!! My opinion of Dr. Forse has only gotten better and better since I have had surgery. His bedside manner is superb and his surgery technique is excellent. I haven't had any problems with the surgery. When I was having some abdominal pain, he re-admitted me immediately to make sure that everything was still allright. Turns out it was just a pulled muscle, but he didn't mess around at all. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone in the New England area considering surgery. He is truly a wonderful surgeon as well as a wonderful person!!
Well, I saw Dr. Forse as a great man once again. I had to have emergency surgery to correct a small bowel obstruction recently at 14 months post op and he was just as wonderful and compassionate as ever. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have surgery in the Boston area.

Dr. Forse and Adrienne, the program coordinator at Boston Medical Center, are very nice. They seem very caring, though incredably busy!!! During my appointments, Dr. Forse was attentive, thorough, listened to everything I said and answered all of my questions (which weren't many, since he performed my best friend's and her mother's surgeries and I got all the knowledge first hand!). I never felt rushed during the visits at all, even though the office was always busy. He made me sign paperwork that I will follow the post surgery visits and made sure I was comfortable with this. One BIG thing about seeing Dr. Forse - he and his staff are incredably busy. Be prepared to wait. I have waited 10 months since my intial appointment (the meet and greet), and I was calling every two weeks for more information. But I want him to perform this surgery and wasn't willing to go anywhere else.

I LIKED DR. FORSE RITE FROM THE GETGO,HE SHOWED GREAT CONCEARN FOR MY HEALTH (MENTAL INCLUDED)AND ALSO SAID THIS SURGERY WAS NO-WAY A WALK IN THE PARK.HIS OFFFICE STAFF WAS AWSOME I HAVE NEVER MET A BETTER GROUP OF PEOPLE,THAT WERE SO ATTENTIVE .ADRIENNE IS AMAZING SHE MADE ME FEEL GOOD ABOUT WHAT I WAS DOING AND WALKED ME THROUGH EVERY STEP.THE BEFORE AND AFTERCARE PROGRAMS ARE TOP NOTCH.I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT DR. FORSE IS THE BEST PERSON BOTH PERSONNALLY AND MEDICLY TO COME INTO MY LIFE.

I really like him as a doctor, he is very thorough in the time he spends with you on your first visit and lets you know that you can make it if you set your mind to it.
