I decided to ask for a reffurl the end of sept. and Dr. Jaurez office recived it the first week of OCT. and i finished everything need and required in Nov. I have surgery Dec. 2. It has taken me 8 weeks start to finish in order to get the gastric bypass surgery. I have been trying to get the surgery for over 7yrs. And Dr.J is making that finaly happen. I started this at 390lbs right now I am 365 and dropping. His staff is Awsome they always answer what ever questins you have and if you call a lot like me there still polite and dont get angery with you like some dr. offices. As for Dr. Jaurez He is one of a kind. when i first met him he was easy to talk to and made me laugh he was happy to be a Dr. helping someone who was over weight. I would most defenantly reccomend him.

I had my first appointment with Dr.Juarez 2 weeks ago. First impression was great. I went in feeling a lil scared but after talking to him and learning of how many surgeries hes done made me feal really safe. His office staf is GREAT. I'm one of the people who call and bug, but they are always nice and understand. Theres nothing i could say negative in regaurds to Dr.Jaurez. As of now i feel he was the right choice. My insurance just approved the surgery (11-18-08) and ill be going in on dec.10 for my surgery... Its so close...lol...The information recieved at the first appt. was very imformative and adresses the risk, the types of surgeries, and a great meal/week by week plan to kind of inform you of the steps after surgery. Overall i would give Dr.Juarez and his staff a 10 out of 10.

He was very friendly, understanding and empathetic to my needs. He is very patient and takes time to answer questions. His office staff was very friendly and aggressive with obtaining pre-auth from my insurance. He is very clear about the requirements before and after surgery. Is very clear in his pre-op and post-op instructions. I would rate him a 9/10 (no one is perfect). In my opinion surgical competence is more important than bedside manner, but would prefer to have both.

Dr. Juarez performed my surgery in september of 2006. I chose him from this web site based on his excellent record of success and availability- I am glad I did! I had absolutely NO complications and have lost 150 pounds. His staff worked with me to get my surgery quickly and they were always available to answer my questions. In the office, Jessica was wonderful and understanding of my excitement / nervousness prior to surgery (she had surgery with Dr. Juarez too). Because of my positive experiences, I will be coming back to Dr. Juarez when it's time for a tummy tuck. rnrn

From the first time I walked into the office of Dr. Juarez I was greeted with warmth. I have been on the six month program and see the office staff a lot. The office and the Dr. have been great to work with through this journey. I look forward to the surgery with him and trust that he will see me through. Since I have not had the surgery yet I cannot comment on the aftercare program or the Dr.'s bedside manner. I will update when I start the post-op faze.

Dr. Juarez was great! Very fun, laughing type of guy. His office is very busy most of the time, the wait is typically longer then normal, but it's worth it when you have good people to wait for. He also sets up a before and after-care program that is nice to have for you to get used to exercising. 1-5 Rating, diffenetly a 5 Star!

When I first met Dr. Juarez, I was Impressed by the seminar that he presented. I also thought that he was a no nonsense type of Doctor, and He was. He got me my surgery as soon as I was ready. He is very likeable and personable. I enjoyed my experience with the nurses also. They were very very helpful, and empathetic. I had a very positive experience with Dr. Juarez in all. The one negative thing that I could say is I didn't like the therapist he had me go to. Tabitha Stewart. She is over cautious, and wasn't upfront with me. She told me that she thought I was ready for the surgery, then told the doctor, that I should have 4 weeks of counceling, and I should take anti-depressants. After a second opion( and an extra $275 dollars), I was aloud to have my surgery. By the way, the second opion didn't think I was more depressed than anyone else who was morbidly obese!
