Dr. Beall is a great surgeon with a great staff. I recommend him to anyone who is considering WLS. He also performed emergency gall bladder surgery on my in January 2009. He does a great job and is always upbeat and funny.

Great office staff. Very informative prior to surgery. Was honest that surgery wasn't a \"fix-all\" but encouraged that it is a tool.

Dr. Beall was very nice - professional but understanding. The main problem I had was with Joni. She took over the insurance paperwork and it was disaster! She didn't know I was alive a month later until I called her when my insurance company said they had not received any paperwork (should have been sent in first week of June). Since I already had the pre-approval from my insurance company, I planned on having the surgery early August. But because of Joni, it didn't happen until Sept 20.

Dr. Beall is the kind of surgeon you only dream of finding. He has the most wonderful loving kind spirit that just makes you feel how much he really cares for his patients. He really takes time with you. I never felt rushed at any visit. I had a very compresive first visit that included patient teaching and all the risks involved were addressed. Dr. Beall kept very close watch on me during my hospital stay. I felt I was in good hands in his care. He also follows up for an entire year. He has a very structured program to follow that will ensure great results if followed properly. His staff are very loving and caring individuals, especially his nurse, Debbie, who also manages our support group that meets once each month on the second Monday of the month at the hospital.

He is a wonderful, and caring person. Takes the time to go over the surgery, draws a diagram of what he's going to do, and answers any questions. He has a wonderful nurse, Debbie, that will answer any of your questions. You can call her anytime during the day, and she will call back asap. Debbie had WLS, about a year ago, so she's well informed about how your feeling. Can't say enough about Dr. Beall's staff, their all very nice.
Aftercare is very important, as you are given a folder with all types of info. in it. They have weight loss support meeting monthly.
I rate Dr. Beall very highly in surgical competence, and bedside manners.

The first time I met Dr. Beall was at the seminar and I was thinking, "I hope he does surgery better than he operates that laptop!" The computer they normally use had gone down and he was trying to use one he had never used before. A little humor never hurt any seminar and honestly I loved the way he handled the situation. My first impression of Dr. Beall was really good and I knew immediately that he was the Doctor that I wanted to do my surgery. I had been to several seminars with other Doctors so I knew basically what to expect and what to ask. I asked him question and not only did he answer them, he explained in detail why.
Each time I have met Dr Beall my confidence in him grows even more. Not once has he made me feel like I have failed as other Doctors in the past.

The office staff has been great. Dealing with me is no easy task, I am an impatient person and always have been. When I feel like things are not moving fast enough then I get out and push. They had to reign me in a few times and they did it with style.

The worst part is the long trip back and forth to his office. I am a little over 3 hours one way from Dr. Beall so it makes for an all day event to go to his office.

Dr Beall made sure it would be safe for me to undergo this surgery. We talked in depth about this surgery. He answered all of my questions in detail and took as long as needed to make sure the risk, and aftercare was completely understood. He also went over a file I had developed on myself and this surgery during the 3 years I fought for it. Dr. Beally discussed the importance of a support group and talked to me about the support they have there locally. I will be joining one a little closer to my home but I am not against attending one in Tyler as well if I can schedule my Dr. appointment on the same day as the meeting.

My overall rating of Dr. Beall is awesome. At this point I don't have any negative comments about Dr. Beall and I really don't expect to have any in the future. If something changes I will update this and let ya know.

Dr. Beall has both surgical compitence and a great bedside manner which I find equally important.

The first time I met Dr Beall was at one of the meetings. My first impression of him was that first and foremost he really cared about the people in the room ( also he is really cute). He was very diligent in answering all quesions and did not overlook anyone and most of all his time was yours. He cared.
He proved himself to me when I had my surgery because everything I told him about myself he listened and remembered.
I Thank him for that.
They are every bit as caring and interested in the patients as the doctor is. Debbie Knight is one of the sweetest people also.
He cares and he will help with whatever he can he just has to know what to help with. He wants to continue to see you and keep up with you. HE Cares. He will sit down and explain and answer any and all questions you have.
I have dealt with a lot of doctors and surgeons during my life and I would rate Dr Beall 100
percent.
I would have to say he was my knight in shining armour in both so in my book he is great.

My first impression of Dr. Beall was that he was very knowledgable and wanting to make sure that the patient knows "exactly" what the surgery entails. He even drew me a picture. In the hospital, he visited every single day and sometimes even twice a day. There was no question that was deemed too small or ignorant. He took all the time needed to answer my questions. He addressed all questions, especially the risks, in a very calm, matter of fact manner. His nurse, Debbie, has since even had the WLS also. I have never had to wait more than a few hours for a return phone call for answers to my questions. As for aftercare....he says that when you have the WLS, you belong to him forever. You are expected to make all the regular post op visits and continue to keep in contact for regular blood work and checkups. There is a monthly support group which is a tremendous asset in terms of both support and education. I would rate Dr. Beall overall in the highest level that there is. If I ever need any other kind of surgery, he will be my first choice.

Dr.Beall is a very caring physician. He sits you down and discusses everything with you. He never appears to be in a hurry, even if the waiting room is full, while he is with you he is making sure all your questions are fully answered. He wants to make sure you know what you are getting into with having WLS, and the life long changes you will have to make. His office staff is wonderful, I have yet to meet any one who didn't try to assist me to the fullest. His office manager was very helpful in talking to the hospital and arranging a prepay amount since my insurance claim was denied after several attempts and letters upon letters to them. His office offers monthly support group, nutritional assistance, and nurses who will usually take your call immediately or call you back with in an hour.
I rate this doctor and his staff a perfect 10, with a rating score of 100 percent.
