I loved his red shoes. Ha, Ha! Dr. Nease made me feel so comfortable and I looked forward to my office visits, he always told me how great I looked. His office staff was so accommodating, encouraging and wonderful. They really went to bat with my insurance who has previously denied me. I had heard of Dr. Nease through friends that had their surgery with him. Since my surgery, my whole quality of life has improved. Anyone considering having surgery should know that Dr. Nease is a very caring individual and very personable with a great sense of humor. He is very involved in his aftercare program.

The procedure was explained very thoroughly along with the possibility of risks. The seminars AND the nutritional education were far more comprehensive than other programs that I had attended. Very complete!

I would rate Dr. Nease a 10 for both surgical competence and bedside manner.

My first impression was that I thought Dr. Nease was very cute. Seriously, he was very imformative about the surgery and the staff made me feel like I was part of the family. And they remembered my name each time!!! The doctor had a great bedside manner, visited me everyday in the hospital, even on Sunday..

I thought Dr. Nease was very personable and knowledgable. When I heard him talk at the seminar, I felt comfortable and he seemed very trustworthy. The staff was very nice and helpful. Something that was so meaningful to me was right before surgery, I had asked Dr. Nease to pray with me and he did so genuinely. I had so many emotions about the surgery and what it could do for me afterwards that I had gotten very choked up. Prior to surgery, the doctor explained all the risks about the procedure very thoroughly. Dr. Nease was more than great. I could not have asked for anyone better than him for my surgery.

Dr. Nease has the complete package. He has genuine passion for people who need this surgery. He conveys this message by talking of his own father's demise from morbid obesity during his Informational Seminar. It was this obvious compassion that made me select him to do my laparscopic gastric bypass surgery.

To my surprise, this was only the tip of the iceburg. He and his staff treat each patient as a new member of the family. The Pre-op class taught by Kimberly Do, Program Director, prepared me completely for every step of what was about to happen from the moment I walked into the hospital, to the first walk I took four hours after surgery....

Post surgery - I saw Dr. Nease at least once a day and talked with his staff the same amount. No question or concern was left unanswered. Two weeks after being released from the hospital I realized that something was not right. The drain hole I had been packing became very tender - I called Dr. Nease and he returned my calls quickly - even on a Friday at 10pm. He called in a prescription and the following Monday in his office we found that my drain hole had abcessed. He reopened it, drained the fluid and sent me packing.

If I had to make this choice again I wouldn't change a thing!

Dr. Nease is incredible. He has chosen this specialty because of a personal family history. This was one of the selling points for me. He does not judge you or treat you like a number in the "weight loss factoy". My first impression was that he is a truely caring physican, and this is the same impression I have today. He has a wonderful office staff who share his philosophy and caring nature. I feel his entire program is well thought out and well planned. You are required to attend pre and post-op classes and he and his staff are available to answer the multitude of questions that arise. So far, the aftercare program has been very helpful to me. The post-op nutrition class was especially informative. Not only do I think Dr. Nease a personable guy, but I feel he is a very competant sugeon. My surgery was without any complications and so far, I am very pleased with my recovery. I cannot say enough nice things about this man, his skills, his program, and his staff. In my opinion, he greatly improved my life more than I could have on my own.

MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF DR. NEASE WAS THAT HE WAS VERY DEDICATED TO HELPING PEOPLE TO BECOME HEALTHY AGAIN. AFTER MEETING WITH DR. NEASE AND SHEILA I KNEW RIGHT AWAY HE WAS THE ONE FOR US. HE IS VERY CARING FOR HIS PATIENTS. THE AFTER CARE THAT WE RECIEVED FOR THE 2 MONTHS FOLLOWING OUR SURGERY WAS GREAT, BUT DUE TO HIM MOVING TO CALIFORNIA WE COULD NO LONGER SEE HIM. MY DAD AND I WERE DR. NEASES FIRST FATHER/DAUGHTER PAIR (12-03-02) WE BOTH FEEL THAT THERE IS NO ONE THAT IS MORE COMPASSIONATE ABOUT HIS PATIENTS BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER SURGERY THAN DR. NEASE.
GARDEN GROVE,CA YOU ARE LUCKY TO HAVE HIM AND HIS FAMILY.

The first time I saw Dr Nease was at his seminar. I was very impressed with his confidence and his knowledge of this surgery. I went to his seminar after a friend had told me how great he was. The seminar was very helpful. I learned specific information that you can’t get off the internet. Dr Nease presented the surgery in a way that let people know it was not a guarantee to lose weight. He stressed how serious the surgery was and all the risks involved.

When I met Dr Nease at my consultation, I was very nervous and had tons of questions, but he quickly put me at ease. He was very easy to understand, and was also very honest with his responses.

Directly after my surgery he made sure to go out and talk to my husband to let him know that everything went great. He also came in to check on me to see how I was doing. Dr Nease is a very caring and thoughtful person, with a great bed-side manner.

I would definitly recommend Dr. Nease to anyone considering Gastric Bypass surgery.

Dr Nease is wonderful! He is very down to earth, talks in terms anyone can understand. Helping the obese seems to be his calling, not just his job. He gives a great seminar where you learn all you ever wanted to know and more about weight loss surgery. It is easy to like him and was very comfortable right from the start. I completely trusted him. Even in the hospital he came to see me everyday to make sure I was comfortable, he even ordered extra lab work I felt I needed to put me at ease. I would recommend him to anyone thinking about weight loss surgery.

My PCP recommended my having weight loss surgery and gave me Dr Nease’s number. I went to his seminar and really liked it. Dr Nease tells it exactly how it is, he is very upfront. He says what will happen and what could happen. He will answer any questions people have and never make you feel like it is a silly question or a waste of his time. I even spoke with him the day of the seminar.

The day of my consultation he made me feel very comfortable and one again went over what surgery was all about, what would or could happen. I could have had surgery a few days before I did, but Dr Nease knew he was going out of town and wanted me to wait so he would be in town “just in case” I needed him after surgery.

The day of surgery Dr Nease came into see me to make sure I was comfortable and asked if I still wanted to go through with it. He has a great sense of humor. He tried to do my surgery LAP but in the end had to open me up. He had explained that this might happen. He went out and personally told my wife why the operation was taking longer so she would not worry. He is a very caring man.

I have not had any complications nor do I think I ever will. The best part is that I am off all my medications. I would recommend Dr Nease to anyone thinking about having wls.

I needed to have weight loss surgery because of my failing health. At a weight of 406 pounds there was very little I could do and was on many medicines. I have two nephews and one niece that had weight loss surgery and saw the difference it made in their lives. Dr Nease was spoken very highly of by members of my community. I was told how experienced he was and called his office to get information on where to start the process.

Dr Nease has a wonderful seminar. He talked to us about obesity, showed us slides and told us about his reasons for becoming a Bariatric surgeon. His dad was obese and very ill. Dr Nease got into bariatrics so others would not have to suffer like his dad did. After the seminar I talked to Dr Nease and his wife. I liked them immediately. Dr Nease is very down to earth, doesn’t talk over your head or make you feel “beneath” him. He even remembered me from the seminar during my first consultation with him.

I am on disability but also insured under my wife’s insurance policy. Her policy had a written exclusion to weight loss surgery. Dr Nease went out of his way to make sure I could get approved through medicade. He really goes the distance in helping people.

At the hospital he would come in and take his time. He was never in a rush. He has great bedside manners.

I have not had any problems, can eat just about anything I want, am off almost all medications and have lost 104 pounds so far. Dr Nease saved my life; I would recommend him to anyone thinking about having weight loss surgery.
