There didn't seem to be anything I couldn't ask him before or after surgery. He is a very busy man so I made sure I had my questions ready before my appointments. He always took the time to address any questions I had. His surgical skills are impeccable (words from his colleagues) and his relationship with his staff is very good.

First impression, he has a good bedside manner. His staff at LHN is very nice and helpful.

So far, I have been impressed with my surgeon. He seems to take time explaining and makes sure I understand. The staff at Lutheran Weight Management is great too. Sometimes the organization is a little chaotic, but as long as you have the patience, it seems worth it. They seem very thorough with their education before and after the surgery. You also get the support and advise of many other patients in the same boat.

Dr Sloan is a very talented and highly respected surgeon. He is known as the \"Top Gun\" of surgeons in Indiana. I was his 33rd RNY patient (I think). He was wonderfully attentive when I had a few complications and my hospital stay went from the planned 3 days, to 5. He is a very busy man (but I guess that's a sign of his success) and sometimes my follow-up visits are behind schedule. The staff at Lutheran Weight Management are great people. Although it always seems to be a hectic place and I felt a little lost in the crowd, but I learned it's up to me to speak up! The pre-op classes are SUPERB. They cover everything from mental health, to nutrition and exercise, to whatever you want to talk about. The post-op classes are equally good. Again, any thing they don't cover, just ask and they will.
