10. BOTH FOR ME ARE VERY IMPORTANT.

My first impression of Dr. Davis was a positive one. After dealing with "mean" doctors all my life, he seemed like a blessing. I found him to be very positive, intelligent, and kind. My impression has only improved over time. While his office staff is a little disorganized and hard to deal with, he makes up for it. Honestly, there is nothing negative I could say about him. He treats his patients as human beings and he is straightforward and honest. He gave plenty of informative handouts out during his seminar and answered all my questions fully and accurately. He visited me everyday while I was in the hospital as well. Unfortunately, he has left the state, now (7 Months post-op), but he was wonederful to me during the two times I did see him post-op.

My first impression of Dr. Daniel Davis, of "Advanced Laparoscopic Associates" in Hackensack, NJ - from his seminar at Hackensack University Med Center - was that he was very professional, thoroughly knowledgeable, and honest. My experiences to date have only served to reinforce this. He pulled no punches regarding the risks involved w/gastric bypass. I can't speak highly enough of him. Plus, he has an outstanding bedside manner.
As for his office staff: The less said, the better. The one good non-MD at the practice is the Nutritionist. She's very helpful, very thorough, and quick to respond to requests for assistance.
Dr. Davis - and his colleage at A.L.A., Dr. Trivedi - are BIG advocates of aftercare. I've been back to the office three times in my 5 months post-op.

I first saw Dr. Davis at the info seminar he spoke in both medical and laymen's term. I was impressed with that alone. At the seminar I made my appt. to see Dr. Davis the following week. It was time for one on one well it was great the office staff are out of this world Alica is the first person I would like to thank she fit me in for Dr. Davis seminar when another staff members put me with another Dr. and Jeniffer, so to the point and understanding she let me know up front how my insurance company is and what to expect and when I should call them I tell you this hole process is going much smoother than I thought it would.

Dr. Davis is a very pleasant man. I went to his pre-op seminar where he thoughly explained the different surgical procedures, and the pros & cons of each. He also gave you a pretty good idea as to what to expect after surgery. I then did a lot of research on him prior to meeting with him and deciding on him to be my surgeon. Everything I could find out about him from Doctors, Nurses, Hospitals, Insurance Companies and his patients was all very positive. When I went to meet with him one-on-one for the surgical consult, I found him to be very quiet and reserved and I felt that I had to start most of the conversation with questions, which he answered thoughly and without hesitation,(I guess he felt he said all he had to say at the seminar),but I wish he had made the encounter a little easier. Don't get me wrong, he's a great guy & a very talented surgeon, just be prepared with a list of questions.

My first impression of Dr. Davis was that he was very young, cute and approachable, but he did not have the "stage presence" of his associate, Dr. Schmidt. After meeting him in person, I immediately felt comfortable with him and his calm confidence put me at ease. His office staff has been great. They are very busy and went through an office move, yet still managed to stay organized and efficient. Three different girls work for the different surgeons and they are all helpful and polite, even when it is not their patient list. Jennifer is great. Even when I called to bug her constantly, she kept her sense of humor. I have nothing negative to say about Dr. Davis, or his staff.

Dr. Davis is a very kind, shy and competent young man. He made me feel very secure in his abilities and I have recommended him to many of my friends who are inquiring about WLS. My prayer for Dr. Davis is that GOD will continue to bless his practice and keep him humbled by all the lives he's helping to transform. In my opinion, Dr. Davis demonstrates what all Doctors should, humility, a kind smile, and a warm handshake. Dr. Davis, "THANK YOU". your are forever in my prayers.

Just met Dr. Davis tonight. First impression - very young but very competent. I also got to meet Dr. Fan, the head honcho of the practice - also extremely nice and competent.
I have my consult on August 12th and hope to breeze through the insurance process. Dr. Davis' office has been very helpful to date.
<p>8/12/2002 - Had my consult today. Dr. Davis put me right at ease. I now have have a date (9/24) and a sense of knowing that my life is about to begin again.

My first impression is that he seems to know what he is doing. My husband and I went in and he gave us the whole history and current conditions to the Lapband. We were impressed. He took the time to answer any questions we had and made sure we had all the knowledge possible. We scheduled the surgery for 2 months from that date. My insurance did not give me a problem and the Dr. office sent me a letter saying they appproved it. It did take a while though but I think it is because the office submits claims in surgery date order. What I did and do not like is that I feel he doesnt give the proper guidance on what to eat, how much, so forth. But medically, he is great.
