My first impression: WOW, he is sooooo young. That was at the seminar.
Had a consult with him answered my questions.
I had surgery 10/16/02 and he came to visit 10/17/02 and on 10/18/02 to discharge me.
His assistant, Dr. Sven, is wonderful.

My first impression was that he looks quite young but that could be a good thing because that means that he would be knowledgable about the latest information with the surgery. After sitting in on his seminar, I realized that he is very knowledgable and very personable. The seminar was approximately 1 1/2 long and even though he spoke the whole time he still took the time out to talk to you on a one on one level. He never rushed you. He told you everything up front. He never sugarcoated any information that he gave. On a scale of 1 to 10 he's a 9.

Dr. Davis is a very wonderful man. I found him through a friend of mine that had her surgery done in April. Now I can see why she spoke so highly of him. I first saw Dr. Davis on July 15th at a seminar that he gives to explain the procedure to potential patients. Then I had my consult with him on Aug 5th. He is a very caring man. He made me feel very comfortable and he took the time to answer all of my questions. One of the things I liked most about him was that he made me feel like I was the only appointment he had that day. He didn't rush me or make me feel like I was taking too much of his time. That is very rare in a doctor and I completely trust him because of it. My surgery date is 10/30 and I can't wait for that day to come!

My first impression of Dr. Daniel Davis was that he was very smart and he was very caring. The office staff were very friendly also. Future patients should know that he takes time to answer all the questions you may have for him. My consult went well, my husband and I are going to have the surgery the same day. Our date is set for Tuesday, August 6th, 2002. My husband is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. and I am scheduled for 2:30 p.m. My In-laws live next door so they will be able to help us out when we come home from the hospital. My mother in law will be staying in a hotel near the hospital as she is taking us up and driving us home after surgery. I will be bringing pillows for the ride home and Chapstick as I keep hearing everyone say that you do need the chapstick. My daughter is 13 she is coming as well and staying in the hotel with my mother in law. My son will be staying home with his grandfather.

My first impression was that Dr.Davis was very young but he was very very nice and put every question I had at ease.We didnt feel rushed talking to him at all and he explained everything with great detail . So far my dealings with him have been nothing but positive.

Had the surgery -feeling great -still highly recommend Dr Davis to everyone that I talk to .He is a very compasionate person who makes each pt feel as if they are more then a "chart number".My well being and the way I feel is more important then rushing from pt to patient. He listens to each question attentivly without making you feel like your wasting his time and just makes you feel good.Having a DR that you can feel is a freind also makes decisions and situations like this easier to deal with .

Dr Davis is a real sweet man. Very compassionate and informative. Office staff does need a bit of help though. I did not go into it blind though. I read comments on his office staff before. My question is don't they ( the office staff) read the comments! Although Alicia has been wonderful. The doc looks real young . He is new to this practice and does work with Dr Schmitt. He also specializes in other lap procedures. Which is what sold me after interviewing 3 other surgeons. They are laproscopic professionals. Will update with bedside manner and other comments post op.
Just a little update: Had my first post op visit three weeks out and I feel that Dr Davis takes his time with his patients and is very encouraging. He is an AWESOME DOCTOR. He helped me with the biggest decision I have ever made in my LIFE! I totally put all my trust in him. The day of my surgery I arrived on time to same day surgery unit. I was sitting on my bed and I see doc Davis coming toward me to let me knnow that his previous case was finished way early and I would be going sooner than we thought. This was great. I was just very anxcious and wanted things to move along. It was kind of comical because the nurses are by the book and things were no moving along as quick as the doc would have liked. But eventually it was my time and he was very reassuring,. He does have a dietician he works with now and that visit was also very pleasant and the Registered Dietician is very nice. Dr Davis was very good in the hospital too. Although the visits were short he came in early enough on the discharge day which worked out great in my case since my husband had a two hour ride to get me. I highly recommend Dr Davis and be patient when calling the office. Read the first posting on that office issue. I would have to say on a scale of one to 10 he is an 11. Both his surgical competence and bedside manner are both great. I see the doc in three months so till then..............

First impression, he was young. Very young looking. He was very nice and took his time explaining every detail of the surgery to me and my fiancee. He didn't rush us out of the office, he answered every question I had (and I brought a long list with me :) His office staff was pleasant. The office was quite small, but not packed. He is in the same group as Dr. Fan and Dr. Schmidt, who I hear are also great doctors. I met a couple pre and post of patients in the waiting room and had a nice time sharing experiences, information, etc. with. Overall, Dr. Davis seemed like a competent doctor and definetely has a caring, pleasant attitude.
