David Geller Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

Dr. Geller is very knowledgable when it comes to the surgery. He takes his time to answer any questions that you have. Dr. Geller addresses the risk of the surgery very well. Overall he is a very nice and considerate person and has very knowledgable staff. At this point there isn't anything that I don't like about Dr. Geller.

he is a great Doctor I had great care by him! He has a great bed side manner and I feel he takes time with his pations and want a lot of things done a certain way for him to do the surgery and that shows he cares about his people.

i like dr geller he is a nide dr he is easy going guy my first impression of him was he knows what hes doing he is very up front with everything to his staff is really nice to they do everything for you and if you have any questions all you have to do is call and they will answer itthere is nothing that i dont like about he he is very nice and easy to like he addresses the risk of the surgery very good in every way
i would rate him a 10 plus plus

I just met with Dr.Geller today for my 1st consult. I think he is very intelligent, caring, and actually has a sense of humor. I think he will have a good bed side manner too. He was very thorough with the seminar, answered all our questions, and didnt make us rushed at all. The office staff I have met (brande) is really nice also. I found her very helpful and she has had wls also so she knows how & what we r going through. He has a aftercare program set up through "right weigh" and support groups every month. he is very adament bout us going to them-- could make the difference of the wls working or not.He was very to the point bout the risks of surgery but he seems to take all the necessary precautions i think. I really dont have any complaints about him, even though the meeting was late getting started i understand he was with other post ops.I respect the time he takes with each of us; no one wants to b rushed once its our turn with him. I know i dont want him rushed through my surgery or my post op visits when i need to talk to him. I'll gladly wait my turn.

Dr Geller gave me my life back. He is very knowledgeable and an excellent surgeon. I've had very few problems since the surgery and will continue to follow up with him. I need to have a small hirnea fixed as well as another minor surgical procedure and I trust him to complete this once I am a little closer to goal weight. Dr Geller's staff has been fantastic and is very responsive to any of my needs.

Dr Geller really emphasizes the importance of the aftercare program. He provides his patients with written material as well as personal guidance. The Right Weigh clinic is also there to address any questions or needs and the support group (when used, I've been bad about it) is awesome.

I would rate Dr Geller and his staff a 10+. He is not only a competent surgeon, but he truly cares for his patients and shows it. The only problem I've ever had is the long wait when I go for a follow up. Of course the reason for the wait is that he is spending time with his other patients and he affords me the same opportunity when I finally get in to see him.

I have an appt/seminar/consult coming up will Dr. Geller. I am very exited and will let you know more once I meet w/ him after next week.
When I had first called Dr. Shina's office the staff was very hurried and almost to the point of being rude.
However, when I called back they were exceptionally friendly and helpful- I dont' know if whomever I spoke to before was overworked/ and or upset- just a bad day, etc.

Dr. Gellar was very nice and informative. He explained everything well and I am confident in his ability as a surgeon. I was surprised that he is obese himself, but that also is a comfort to me because I know he understands the day to day struggles of being morbidly obese. His office staff is also nice especially the gentleman who answers the emails. My only problem with them ever is that number one they never scheduled my sleep study or echocardiogram Dr. Gellar ordered and second when I called and told them I was changing insurance companies I was told I would have to start all over and pay the consult fee (now $250) again. The nice thing is I emailed them and questioned this since I have had my consult and attended the seminar already last November, I was answered by Rick and he said I did not have to start over, just had to send in new insurance info and get letter from my PCP stating current weight etc. Overall I am very happy with Dr. Gellar and his staff.

Update 5/8/04 Well had my second consult with Dr. Gellar. Apparently I had gotten some mis information from "Rick". When I called the office I asked about lab work that would be needed and was informed that I would indeed have to pay the $250 administration fee. I was very upset to say the least. Not only that but at my consult they informed us we would have to pay a $150 nutrionist fee also. I wonder now what other fees we will have to pay. Oh well I guess as long as I get this surgery I won't complain.

I thought he was informative. The office staff was nice they forgot to tell me about all of the testing and Dr appointments that I had to have until a week before surgery so I had to take off from work to get everything done. My last to attempts at fills failed. I have just received my first fill and it was done at the hospital because Dr. Geller couldn't find the port.

Dr. Geller is the GREATEST! He really knows his stuff! I would reccommend him to anyone! Great Dr.

I officially met with Dr. Geller today for my seminar/consultation. My husband and I like him alot. At first I thought I was having Dr. Shina...but Dr. Geller will be great. He explained every detail during our seminar and went over my papers with me without making us feel rushed. I am so happy that everything went well today! I will just wait for my insurance approval now!
