Dr. Thoman is very straightforward in dealing with patients. My surgery and post-operative course has been very uneventful. Dr. Thoman has a very simple and regimented post-operative plan that he coordinates with a Dietician at Sansum Clinic.

My first impression of Dr. Thoman Was Ohh My Goss he is cute and his ganna do the surgery. Arent i lucky!rnall the staff there is very nice the dietitian was realy nice and very helpful. Dr. Thoman is very good at what he does I'm young with no real health problem. But he made sure by having me get lab work and test work done to make sure nothing was worng with me and that i would be fine to have surgery.I guess the only real thing i didnt like is that you dont see Dr. Thoma hardly you mostly will see his staff i think i seen im 2 maybe 3 times. It would of been nice even at the hospital to have seen him more often.but all in all i would highly recemend him.

Everything I've heard about Dr. Thoman has been positive and after my first seminar I feel I've made the right choice. He explained the pros & cons in detail, and was eager to answer questions. His program seems to include excellent before and aftercare. He was professional, very knowageable, confident and I left feeling I will be well taken care of. As far as his staff, so far they have been very helpful!rnI look forward to getting to know them better.

I am extremely happy with making the decision to go to Dr. Thoman. I checked into a few other seminars and didn't feel the warmth I felt at Thomans seminars. He has a great staff. They are very kind and will answer anything you need help with. His dietician is fantastic. She is easy to talk to yet lets you know what YOU need to do for YOUR HEALTH. rnDr. Thoman is quiet. He is a young yet very knowlegable Dr. and isn;t affraid to share his opinion of surgeries with you. rnIf i were to change anything about him it would be his quietness. I would like that outgoing Dr. more, but I know that he is focused on me when he is with me and that he wants to make sure he covers all of his basis. rnPost Op you will visit him 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16 weeks after surgery and then each year after that. He provides excellent support groups in which you can visit as many times as you would like. rnDr. Thoman does go through the risks of surgery and his dietician will discuss the importance of followong your diet, and exercise routine. rnI rate Dr. Thoman as a Fantastic Dr. His knowledge of surgery surpased my expectaion. He has done a lot of schooling to be able to help up with our new ways of like. His is a quiet man, but is confident in what he does. I went into the surgery room, excited about what was to come. I felt very comfortable with him. I left the hospital more comfident in him. I left in very little pain if any at all and was able to talk with him about how i was feeling before my journey home. I would definatley recomend him!

I had heard that Dr. Thoman could be rude and short with patients,so I was a little nervous about meeting him. I was pleasantly surprised to find him very caring and polite. He is a man who tells the facts bluntly, but I like to hear best/worst case scenarios. I did not feel rushed at all and he answered my questions I had. He did not spend a lot of time going over risks and particulars of surgery...I figured it was because he knew I'd listened to him at the seminar, read the booklet, and attended the nutrition seminars. The office staff was nice, but obviously overworked! Karen, the office manager, runs the ship and she seemed a little frazzled at my visit. I would rate Dr. Thoman a 9 on a scale of 10. After surgery I hope to increase that rating to a 10!

My first impression of Dr Thoman was \"WOW he is young\". I started to settle down when I heard him speak at the seminar, which is mandatory for all persons seeking Bariatric surgery. He is very knowledgeable, and is confident.rnHis office staff are very helpful, and I did not have to wait fr long periods of time, in his office. That is a sign of a true professional to me. Someone that treats his patients with care and consideration.rnI am schedued to go back and see Dr Thoman, very shortly. I have been approved for WLS, by insurance carrier, just need to schedule surgery now.

I owe my quitting smoking to him and I am very thankful for that. His office staff is very helpful and very supportive. And after care is a must and stressed how important it is and I have to agrree is will be very important.I willl attend all my after care and the support group. Dr.Thoman from my first impression was very careing and didnt make me feel uncomfortable .I have nothing negative to say about him or his staff I would recommend him to anyone.

First impression was that he was very young, with a good sence of humor. He is very knowledgable in his area of expertice. Karen in the office is so helpful and works really hard to make sure that you will get to where you need to be.rnHe and Karen make sure that everything that you need to know is covered and if you have any questions he is always willing to answer then.rnIf I were to give him an overall rating, I would give him a 99%, His surgical compitence is amazing and I truly felt complete faith in his skill.

My first impression was at the mandatory seminar and I felt confident in what he knew. He was young which I had seen pictures on the Cottage Hospital Website so I was not at all shocked. He was witty and has a great sense of humor in front of a crowd. He was always sincere when I had to meet with him and made me feel comfortable in his care. His office staff is incredible, they are there to help you with any questions that you have and work around your schedule as much as humanly possible. I am from out of town and Karen helped me out soo much. I chose this doctor primarily because of his life long aftercare program. I like the fact that he has labs done yearly for the rest of your life so he can keep an eye out on how your nutrition is doing and keeping up on vitamins. This doctor is an excellent doctor. I was not even nervous going into the surgery because I had complete faith in his competence as an excellent surgeon.

I had my surgery on 2/23/06 and it was great. Dr. Thoman is very much a professional and very competent. Karen, his office staff, and Chantal, the dietician are both wonderful and very easy to work with and very knowledgable about the whole process of WLS. I am so very happy that I went to Dr. Thoman for my WLS.
