David Urbach Bariatric Surgeon

Dr Urbach and his entire team were amazing. Since this is a teaching hospital - he had 2 residents with him during surgery, and another who stayed on the floor for daily rounds.

Dr Urbach and team came out to speak to me prior to surgery and explained what would/could happen and what to expect - specifically regarding the removal of the band - because sometimes they are unable to remove the port - and that there is a possibility of some of the tubing remaining inside of me - but that was not going to cause any problems. Good news - the port was removed. They made a few marks on my belly - and then a few minutes later - I walked into the OR.

I had follow ups every day from his Team, and he personally came to my room the day after surgery to follow up with me - which I thought was very nice of him.

He is a very nice man - very easy to talk to - he explains things very well - and I would highly recommend him

Dr. Urbach was polite and answered all questions. He explained the surgery/complications in detail. I would rate him 8/10 pre-op.
The negative part of the visit was we had to wait 2 hrs to talk with dietitian about the Optifast liquid diet I will need for 3 wks.
