Dr. Denise Murphy, Bariatric Surgeon

Denise Murphy, MD, FACS is the Medical Director at Goshen Physicians Center for Weight Reduction located in Goshen, Indiana. She is a board-certified surgeon specializing in general, vascular and bariatric surgeries. She earned her BA from Goshen College and her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. She went on to complete her internship and residency at Summa Health System in Ohio.

Dr. Murphy is a proud member of the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons (ASBS), the Association of Women Surgeons (AWS), the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons (SLS),  The Indiana State Medical Association, the Mennonite Medical Association, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS).

Prior to joining Goshen Physicians Center for Weight Reduction, Dr. Murphy worked as a clinical instructor of surgery at the Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine. She is dedicated to fundraising for volunteer organizations to help improve the health of others.
