Donald Booth Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

He answered all my questions and did not rush me in my decision. He gave me several surgery options after explaining each procedure and did not gloss over anything about the operation. Dr. Booth's staff was helpful. Anytime I had a question they answered them for me and was tolerate of me. He had been in this field for many years and I have all the confidence in the world in him. I would recommend him. Not only do they do the surgery but they have a wonderful program and keep up with you. If you miss a visit they will contact you and try to re-schedule.

My first impression of Dr.Booth was a very kind man and also serious about wanting to help those that needed to begin a healthy life. Dr.Booth would answer aand explain any question asked about the different types oof weight loss surgery., overtime my impression is still the same and more, He saved my life.
Dr.Booths staff are great, always there to lend an ear answer anything and help anyway they can.
There is nothing that I can say negaative about Dr.Booth or the staff,The Life Shape Program is great for all those that need a more healthier and productive life.
Dr. Booth expects alot from you on this journey of living, take your vitiamns, eat your protein and to those that can drink the protein drinks aand to walk !!!! If you do as Dr.Booth and Diana( His Nurse) says then you will have no problems. Aftercare is very important, go for your checkups, bloodwork is a must and the support meetings are great.
Dr.Booth explained all the risks and the complications that can occur, that is why you have all the pre-op testing done before hand and sometimes other problems do happen as in my case it did. I rate Dr.Booth A+,surgical competence aand bedside manner are important aand Dr.Booth did both great ..

I felt his sense of humor was dry and wasn't sure if I liked him at first, but now I think the world of him he really cares about his patients he is very up front, but I like that in a person. He remembers things that you tell him and he not only cares about you physically but mentally also. Diana is wonderful his staff is kind and caring and helpful. He does emphasize aftercare it is a must with him. They just started a support group that meets once a month the 3rd thrusday every month at 6:00pm in Jackson at the blood bank. He is very straight forward about the risk I knew fully what I was getting into. I give him an A+

Dr. DOnad Booth was is a fantastic doctor. He takes time to listen to his patients as people (not as a doctor). His staff (especially Dianna) is wonderful.I can't find anything bad to say about Dr. Booth or his staff. He gave me a new life and if I had not had the surgery I may not have had a life at all for long. He found a hernia that had my stomach stuck in between some ribs. My surgery ws suppose to be laproscopic but thank God he found this problem, opened me up and corrected it. Dr. Booth, emphasizes very strongly on follow up after care. There is a support group being organized. He talked to me, my husband and my family about all the risks that were involved in my surgery. He explaned everything really well. The bottom line is Dr. Booth is a God sent answered prayer for me and many others. I rate him on a scale from 1-10 a 10+. If you are seeking surgery and considering Dr. Booth I promise you will be glad you did. If I had it to do over I would deffinately use him again.

My first impression was he was hilarious, he has a very dry and witty sense of humor! He was easy going and I enjoyed the consultation. He explained in great detail the different surgeries...restrictive and malabsorption. His office staff was very professional and sincerely kind. He stresses aftercare! He also addressed the risks of surgery (in a very serious, no joking manner). If I had to rate him between a 1 and a 10, definitely a 10! I also wanted to mention that his staff (in particular~Diana and Glen) are really great! With Dr. Booth and the LifeShape group, I got both surgical competence and beside manner...what a combination! *grins*

I found Dr. Booth to be kind, professional and thorough in my first consult with him. I was shown a video with several others, we had a group session with discussion of the various surgeries and then each of us spent at least 30 min alone with Dr. Booth. He answered all questions, and discussed my medical history and TOGETHER we deceided which surgery would be best.
His staff is fantastic! I have called Glen dozens of times and each time she is kind and helpful. Diana, the nurse is bright and has answers, or will get them for you.
I have heard there will be an aftercare program but I have not been told what at this point.
The risks of surgery were discussed seriously, and the history of weight loss was also a part of the picture. I would rate him as a 9 at this point since I have not had the surgery yet! I hope to give him his last point as I come out of the operating room!!! My personal experience with him and his office has been positive.

well I met with Dr Booth for the first time today. He is very personable and very nice. He is also straight up and tells you what he thinks. His office staff Diane and Glen are fantabulous! very friendlyand patient..I must have called there 5 million times with questions. I will be going back to him shortly for my preop and can give more info then.

Dr Booth was my original surgeon and he will be doing my revision to a BPD/DS next year.
He is a very good surgeon.
As I have not been to his new office I have not met the new office staff and I am not sure about an aftercare program. I know they were planning one.

I first met with Dr. Booth on March 16th,00 I went in for the consult and watched a tape on the BPD-DS,very helpful.Then met Dr.Booth on a one on one basis as my family doctor suggested. Dr.Booth is a very nice and pleasant doctor to talk with,I felt very comfortable with him discussing the WLS and my medical problems.He answered any question I would have.I would send anyone needing WLS to Oceaan Springs to meet with Dr.Booth.

I was real impressed with Dr. Booth and his staff. They were very informative and he told me straight about everything I wanted to know.
