I was very impressed with Dr. Pinnar when i first met him at the info session. He had a calming way about him and a confidence in the Lap Band that gave me confidence. I still feel the same way about Dr. Pinnar, the only difference now is that i interact with him very rarely now that i am in the aftercare portion of the journey. In this phase of the process i interact mainly with Dr. Phil and the fantastic office staff. The whole staff is so wonderfully friendly and helpful. It seems like they really know and care about each patient and many of them have had the band themselves so they are great resources as well. Dr. Phil is relaxed and accommodating and always makes me feel like there are no mistakes. It's all just part of the learning process. I've also just started to see Dr. Tamargo, the psych on staff and she is fantastic. I didn't expect her to know so much about the details of life with a band but she did and really helped me to understand what the first year would be like. She is a great compliment to Dr. Phil. Clearly this office is very focused on aftercare. The surgery was the easy part. It's the follow up that leads to success. They have us come in at least once a month in the first year and sometimes sooner while we are looking for that ideal restriction. Dr. Pinnar's office really has their act together. It is a lovely office with a lovely team of doctors and staff and i feel so lucky to have found them. I can't wait to be one of their many success stories.

Dr. Pinnar and his whole staff have been wonderful!! I would recommend him to anyone wanting to get the lap-band surgery. I definately give them a 10 out of 10!!! rnHe really makes sure that you know everything, good and bad about the surgery you are going to have. Dr. Pinnar and his staff didn't just give me a bunch of stuff to read, they really went over everything and explained it all and answered any questions no matter how silly they may have been. Dr. Pinnar has a very structured aftercare program, I went back twice a month for the first 2 months post op, and now I go back once a month for a fill or just to sit down and talk about how i am doing. I am now 5 months post-op 61 # lighter and couldn't be happier. I am so happy that I chose Dr. Pinnar; Phil, Dr, Tomargo, Patty, Gloria, everyone in his office is wonderful. Thank you all for changing my life!!!!!

I have only posivite things to say about Dr. Pinnar and his staff. They have all been extremely helpful. rnrnOne thing I would like to mention, and that has been the best for me, is the fact that a lot of his staff members have also had the surgery. This has been a huge help to me, since I've been able to ask all kinds of questions just sitting in the waiting area.rnrnFor future patients I can only say, go for it! This has been an unbelievable experience and I am so happy that I made the choice to go ahead with the surgery. The doctor's office has taken care of me from the beginning, and now, appr. 9 months after surgery, I still feel they are very much involved in helping me succeed.

The day I found Dr. Eric Pinnar was the luckiest day of my life. As soon as I attended his seminar, I knew that I wanted to have wls. I was tired of being overweight and needed a solution. rnrnI had considered gastric bypass in the past, but I liked the way his office explained the adjustable gastric band. It seemed like the perfect option for me. I had tried and successfully lost weight in the past—but I never kept it off. I was tired of the roller coaster. “UNBUCKLE me and let me off this ride please!” July 25 of this year will be my 2 year anniversary, and I have lost 115 pounds. I am a solid size 10 and I feel fabulous. At goal weight I will be a size 8...can't wait!rnrnDr. Pinnar's aftercare was phenomenal. Whenever I had an issue with being too tight, they had me come into the office immediately. The office staff always welcomed me with a smile--and wanted to know where I had been if I hadn't visited them in a while.rnrnAND I never imagined that I would one day work for him. (I live in SE, DC--for crying out loud!) But it became a reality in November of 2007. It is worth the commute. As a part of his team, it brings tears to my eyes to think about how many lives we transform on a daily basis. rnrnHaven't you ever wanted something so bad it kept you up at night? Or maybe you yearned for it so deeply that you cried yourself to sleep each night? Maybe it was all you could think about. That was my life for as long as I can remember. I am very impressed with Dr. Pinnar and his staff. Everything that they have said has come true, so there have been no surprises. They have really taken the time to make sure that I was comfortable with how things would go. I feel great mentally and have been seeing a huge difference in myself in just 13 days. I think that this is truly a miracle!

Dr.Pinnar is very down to earth, young and excited about helping patients. He is very friendly and eagar to get things moving. He is very straight forward with expectations and goals.rnThe office staff id friendly and discreet. Many of them have also had a lap band surgery and are very happy to share their experiences with patients.

He has been a friend of the family for many many years and I wouldn't consider ANYONE but him. Dr. Eric Pinnar of Reston VA was my surgeon and words cannot express how caring he was along with his staff. Dr. Pinnar never once made me feel stupid or made me feel like I was an ugly person because of my weight.rnrnHis staff worked with me and when I would call the office they would always say please feel free to call us if you need us. Sometime you feel once you have given your money folks do not want anything to do with you,well that is not the way his office is,if it was I would say so on this web site. Dr. Pinnar has a aftercare program and other after surgery programs if you need them. I guess I was one in a million because once I had the surgery and saw the pounds drop I took the program and walked with him. My surgery was march 25,2005 and I have lost 110 lbs.rnrnI have gone from a size 24 to a size 12 and loving life. All this happen in less than a year. I have had two fills and will be going for my third fill in a couple of weeks. I am loving life and have no regrets what so ever.
