I personally liked Dr. Friedman. He was very upfront and completely honest about everything. My husband was a little surprised but I was glad. He allowed my family to be present during the consultation and agreed to do the surgery, after seeing my sleep study, psycologist, and dietian reviews. His staff has been nice enough. Although I don't think they liked me calling as much as I did. I just wanted to make sure that they received all the paperwork that was required from the other doctors. So I checked in a couple of times. He really emphasized aftercare as well as Dr. Ude did. I have a theraphist that I see now who is working with me on the before and after support that will be needed. Overall, I think my experience with Dr. Friedman has been great. Now let's get the date already!!!! I am only disappointed in how long it is taking for the review and scheduling of the surgery. I feel like I have been waiting forever.rn
he did my mom's bypass, and i liked him alot
i still like him alot. i just have some small things that i'm not happy with latley
his office staff have been great
here lately he has not called me back to go over my blood work. and i saw one of my other Dr's that said my levels have been going down and that it's not good to have that happening.
he is a very good Dr and i would recomend him to any one and i have.
he did some with me but not to much that i can recall.
not really.
yes.
he has been overall great.
both gerat.
He is definitely through. Walked me through every stage from pre-op, surgery and post-op expectations. He let me know to contact him no matter how silly the question seemed to me. Before he discharged me, he went over everything.
I would recommend him without hesitation.
He doesn't do the lap surgery but I was fine with that. He talked the risk associated with surgery and made sure I clearly understood the potential risk.
The only negative comment I have does not pertain to my experience. Dr. Friedman does not perform the surgery with a laproscope. Some of my friends who have seen him have decided not to have him do the surgery because of this.
I would rate him as a A. I would rate him high in competence and bedside manner.
I really liked him. He has a hard time looking me in the eye--he likes to talk to my belly. I found him very caring and professional. I love Kathy--his office nurse--she is a little hard to get to know but warms up nicely. I love that Dr. Friedman answers all my e-mails--himself!! I felt very safe in his care! And would recomend him to my friends. He doesn't make a person jump through a bunch of hoops to see him! :-)
I had my consultation with Dr. Friedman on Wednesday, August 20th. Everything went really well. He told me that I am a very good candidate for this surgery. He also said I should have no problems getting approved. Overall I felt very comfertable with Dr. Friedman. He explained the surgery he performs and then went over what he requires me to do before he will operate. I am expecting to have my surgery in October or November. I will post later to update you all.
I liked Dr. Friedman , He was very helpful.I haven't change my mind, He Sent me to you and your website. Very friendly. Professional,If I had any questions, he explained it to us in laymens terms. There wasn't anything about him that I disliked, And very nice looking. He is very thorough with the examination and answering all questions. I like him because he understood exactly what I was suffering and what to do about it. Gave me the names of Professionals that I needed to see, to complete my structured program for gastric bypass surgery. Yes the aftercare program, was very explanatory, and insistant about following. Yes, he did address the risk factors of surgery,I give him a perfect 10 so far.Beside manner is a plus with me, But I diffently will always go for surgical competence. So for me, both is a plus-plus. I 've only seen My doctor once so far. But he left me with motivation. which I keep plugging away at each day.I can't wait to see him again. I have alot more questions to ask him now. Since I get on here everyday and research. The only thing that I didn't like was that my doctor told me my husband couldn't be in the surgery with me. Which I understood. But I am glad that he had all the information ready for me. and where to go on the internet to research. I do wish that I could of had alot more time spent with him. I would like to point out that everyones choice of doctors are there choices. Mine was picked out for me, and I am very glad about that, and now it is my own choice. And this story is mine own thoughts and feelings about my surgeon. I do hope that I will get to spend alittle more time with my doctor> I will proable make him have a headache after all the questions I ask. So Doctor if you are reading this get ready, for my next appointment.

I found him to be very upfront and to the point. I went in to his office prepared with my nutrionist report, my psychological report and my approal from the first surgeon. I am seeing Dtr. Freidman because the Vancouver Clinic only does Lap. and my insurance does not cover lap. Dtr. Friedman gave me a list of things to do (ie sleep study and bllodwork) to prepare for my surgery. We are hoping to get in for spring break. He is very knowledgeable and emphasizes aftercare with nutritionists and the psychologists. I rate him a 10 for his promptness and caring and when the surgery is over I will rate him again.
