Eric Yancey Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

One amazing doctor! Took care of me and my mother. We both had the surgery and we truly love Dr. Yancey. To this day I would recommend him. We had our surgery in 2000 when Dr. S(don't remember the spelling) did my surgery, but Dr. Yancey was right there! Amazing doctor and bedside manners on point!

Dr. Eric Yancey was an awesome doctor. I had the greatest experience with him. He is so compassionate towards his patients and genuinely care about the success of bariatric treatment. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

One word - amazing! I had Open RNY surgery in Jun of 2009. I lost my maximum of 119 pounds and have kept off over 100 pounds for five years. Dr. Yancey was fantastic!

DR. YANCEY, HIS STAFF AND THE HOSPITAL STAFF WERE TRUELY AMAZING. DR. YANCEY WAS VERY PATIENT AND HIS BED SIDE MANNERS WERE OVER THE TOP!

*My 1st impression of him was that he realy had a passion 4 his work.rn*My impression over time did change its just getting better everytime i see him.rn*I would describe his office staff as some what helpful but at time not so helpful.rn*What I like most about Dr. Yis that he is real and not fake like most DR. can be bout things when I go see them.rn*Dr.Y Emphasize aftercare so much untill you will not want to mess up!rn*And YES Dr. Y does address the risks of having and not having WLsurgery.rn*Surgical Competence and Bedside Manner both are great!rn*My overall rate for Dr.Y from a 0 to 10 is a 10!rnrn

I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Yancey. I could not have made a better selection, despite the lack or advertisement by his practice. The advertisement isn't necessary! Which is a great thing! He is very easy to talk to. His office receptionist, forgive me for not knowing her name, is wonderful. I have yet to experience their services post-op, but I am confident that it will be above me expectations! I am so excited and I can not wait for my second birthday on December 3rd!!!!!!!!

When I first met Dr. Yancy I was a bit apprehensive b/c I was nervous. When he started his seminar on WLS I was overly impressed with him and his knowledge. I knew that when I decided to get the surgery he was the one I wanted to do it.

My first impression of Dr. Yancey was a great one. He seems very nice and down to earth. One thing that I really like about him is that he likes to be the one to take his patients on their first post-surgery walk. I look forward to knowing more as my date gets closer.

I wouldn't even know where to begin. From the very first day that I met Dr. Yancey I liked him. He always takes the time to listen to your questions. I never felt rushed in any way. Even in the hospital after surgery, he came to see me everyday and always took the time to see how I was doing. Margret is the person I deal with anytime I call there. I like her alot too. I never feel rushed or that my concerns are not important.

Dr Yancy, Wow what can I say. He is so wonderful. He's very knowledgable about any and every question that you give him. He very humbled and so sweet. He made me feel so confortable because he is very dedicated and strict about every level of the procedure. I went to a another sergeon before Dr. Yancy, but he didn't come close to Dr. Yancy. I really would like to thank Dr. Yancy for doing such a great job! He is not only the best surgeon in Tidewater, but the best in the US. (Not to mention, he is so cute!!! If Only I was about 15 years older, lol) But I had my surgery Feb 23, 2007 and its been only a week later and I lost 10 lbs, I'm so happy. rnrnNOTE: This is my opinion!!!!
