Dr. Wilson is thorough, compassionate, realistic, and skilled. i was also impressed with his entire surgical team. His office staff is pleasant and efficient, though overworked. the only drawback i came across was his staff nutritionist. But we are blessed with many to choose from through the hospital or other affiliates. Dr. Wilson was similar to having my big brother operate on me, especially when i showed up to the OR a blubbering mess. Then he went above and beyond to make my experience positive!

My first impression of Dr. Wilson was great, he was very warm and friendly and listened to what I had to say. My impression of Dr. Wilson never changed. I did have some issues with the office staff but they were resolved. Dr. Wilson is an amazing surgeon who really cares about his patients. He is very caring and concered about you as an individual and not just a number. His aftercare suggestions are in the patients best interest and very structured and easy to follow. I would give Dr. Wilson a 12 on a scale of 1-10, I would recommend my mother to him. His bedside manner and surgical competence are both amazing and I felt very taken care of.

My surgeon was Dr. Erik B. Wilson from UT MIST (Minimally Invasive Surgeons of Texas). Dr. Wilson is amazing! He listened attentatively to all of my concerns and gave me straight-forward, understandable answers to all of my questions. His support staff is very committed to providing the best service possible. I can't say enough about the quality of care shown by Dr. Wilson. I believe he is the very best WLS surgeon in the world, and would recommend him whole heartedly to anyone considering WLS. Dr. Wilson's commitment to his patients comfort and safety is second to none. He has shown outstanding compassion and care, something that sets him apart from so many others. I am grateful to Dr. Wilson for giving me another chance to be healthy, and happy. I look forward to a more positive lifestyle and personal outlook, and will always have a special place in my heart for Dr. Wilson. He is a perfect 10!

I LOVE Dr. Wilson. He is patient and funny and he kept my family informed and treated me with the utmost of respect. He made sure I was informed but I never felt chastized. His work so far as been wonderful I think that most of incisions will heal without leaving much of a scar. Dr. Wilson's office staff is busy but they always took the time to answer my questions and called me back in a very reasonable time period when necessary. The ladies at the front desk are top notch and so sweet! He stresses the need for aftercare and staying in touch (I live in a different city so a different surgeon will follow me) I would give Dr Wilson and his staff (especially Connie and Zoey) from a scale of 1-10 about 100. I really don't have a negative comment. Dr Wilson and his staff where all caring and knowledgeable. They watched me closely in the hospital and it was stressed to me at my follow up appointment to call the minute I even thought I had a question. So I would recommend Dr Wilson to everyone!

-My first impression is that he was very genuine and approachable. I've met with him several times (he also performed my endoscapy) and this impression has not changed.rn-His assistant Zoe, is very helpful. She's had the TOGA procedure as well and she's shared her experiences with me.rn-

Well, I finally met Dr. Erik Wilson at the UT Physicians office, and he was wonderful. He answered all of my questions, and made sure that I understand the difference between the lapband, and the bypass, and the pros/cons. He had a GREAT bedside manner, and I would definetly recommend him to anyone!

Now Post-op and I still like him! Dr. Wilson always greets you with a smile and tells you like it is. My first week after surgery I think I called his nurses, Connie & Wanda, everyday about everything. But they always responed fast and answered all of my questions. I give him and his staff an A+.
