Couldn't have made a better choice. Facility was up to par-clean/up to date/ state of the art equipment. The staff was knowledgeable. And the price - perfect! No need to break the bank or take away a child's college education.

When I arrived at Dr Huacuzs office I was a little nervous. That was soon laid to rest by his staff.When I met Dr Huacuz he was so easy to talk with that I felt like we were old friends.rn The office staff was great, I feel that if they really cared about me.rn The only regret that I have is that I didnt find Dr Huacuz sooner.rn I have been in several hospitals here in the states but I've never had a Dr that showed as much compassion for the patient. When you wake up an the Dr is checking on you an not the nursing staff then that says it all.rn I was well informed of all the risk of this surgery an would NOT hesitate to do this again as long as Dr.Huacuz was doing the surgery.rnAs far as what was better I can think of nothing that wasn't great .

I don't even know where to begin. Let me first say that this was the best decision I've ever made in my life. As luck would have it, I was lucky enough to have Dr. Huacuz be my lapband surgeon. In July 2005 he placed my band and my life changed. I am now at goal weight, 75 pounds later. I was and have been treated as a person. A person that mattered...I mean, here was this surgeon who actually took interested in every aspect of my well-being. Not in making a buck but in my health. I received top-notch care and after care, his staff was completely in tune to my needs and I always felt safe and protected. I have had more than a few friends who have had the lap band procedure performed by him and they all have concurred that they felt fortunate to be in his care. It's been two years since I met him and his staff and they couldn't be more pleasant and caring. I have absolutely no regrets and look forward to return to him for a tummy tuck in the near future. The though of going to any other doctor for this procedure is completely unimaginable! rnrn-Gina

First let me say that Dr Huacuz is the kindest doctor I have ever met. He and his staff were such a pleasure to get to know. I went over to Tijuana with a group of people to have the lap band and not only did I leave there with an Inamed Lap Band, but I found a group of friends to go thru this experience with. I also found a physician and a friend in Dr Huacuz. He is great. Everyone was. I went with Group Trips To Mexico, they arranged everything and took such good care of all of us while we were there. Dr Huacuz was there all the time and his staff, Norma and all of the nurses are wonderful. I know there are lot and lots of surgeons out there and tons of information, but I can tell you, that Dr Huacuz has been the best Doctor I have come across even in the US, I only wish I were closer to him so he could be my physician for everything. Dr.Daniel Huacuz was the most not only nicest doctor I have ever met. He really cares about his patients and I noticed that with the little language difference (he speaks english well) he reads into your body langauge and into your eyes to see if you are worried or scared actually for any emotions you have. He totally puts you to ease before going through with anything. He also is the most handsome man I have ever laid eyes on, Like a Antonio Banderas look and I want to KISS HIM!!!rnThe office staff was wonerful, Dr ramero is not to shabby either and Norma is so nice and very informative. I cant really start to explain to any one how good these people are and I fly back to get my fills becouse I cant think about going to any other doctor with my lap band. I have rhuemitoid athritis and have seen so many rude doctors that dont care about any one so finding this doctor was a blessing and when it is time for my lipo or tummy tuck I will only see DR.Huacuz he is AWSOME!!rn

I can't say enough good about Dr. Huacuz. His facility is very well kept and sparkling clean, I swear there is a staff member cleaning all hours. He, his wife, and his staff are wonderful, they are the GEMS of the world. I was treated like a queen. My son went along for support and was treated just as well, they made sure his meals and mocha's were delivered so he had no need to leave the center. I will be going back for my future fills. I was totally impressed.

I contacted their office they answered all my questions and even called me several times to see if there was anything else they could help me with I have never had a doctor call me to address any concerns i might have without ever meeting me for an office visit i will be meeting them very soon they have already explained different procedures and sent materials on each procedure they left me feeling very comfortable about my decision First impressions are everthing out of all the research i've done they are great i never felt rushed to get off the phone they are very patient seem very concerned about each person

He was awesome! I felt so safe in his care, seriously. I didn't doubt his abilities, bec from our first phone call he was so knowledgeable and spoke of all the experience he had. I had no problem w/communicating; his English is aok. His staff is super nice which is the best part about them. The first night after my surgery was awful; I was convulsing and vomiting all night. One nurse set up camp on the couch in my room and got up to comfort me every time I had an episode. rnrnHe didn't give me much nutritional info. I plan to eat protein first and vitamins (veggies and juice) after that.rnrnHe does not have structured aftercare, which is a bit unfortunate. But he's inexpensive.rnrnI think his bedside manner is unmatched, so great. And his surgical competence feels so reliable, I can't even tell you. I had no worries.

Dr. Huacuz and Dr. Ramono were great, they were very compassionate and caring, the whole staff was great, they even gave a room to my mom and helped her in everyway. I wasn't the best patient they have ever had... and they were great about getting me whatever I needed. I am home and doing great and I am so glad i did this. Lori, Kokomo, In.

My first impression of Dr. Huacuz and his staff was that they were very warm and friendly people. They were also very professional. The hospital was very clean and sterile, and all the nurses were wonderful and took their time when then worked with you. I've never had better care in an American Hospital. Several doctors spoke with me before my surgery, explaining details and answering any questions that I had. That all too their time with their conversations with me and I never felt they were trying to hurry. They came to my room to check on me all throughout the day and some at night also. One night I was really feeling bad and couldnt get warm, and Dr. Huacuz stayed by my side for almost an hour until I felt better. He nor his nurse never left my side. Dr. Romero is also wonderful and would come in to see me and give me all kinds of info on details of how my surgery went, how I was currently doing, etc. The nurse Rosa is an angel, and very professional. I also had one other special nurse, cant rememer all of her name now, but she has a beautiful daughter by the name of Lupita. This nurse worked her butt off the first night I was out of surgery because I was so sick and bacically felt helpless. But she came running to my side everytime I moaned. I cannot say enough about these wonderful people at the Huacuz Surgical Center.
