From the very first visit, I have been impressed with Dr. Walton and his staff. He gives you all the time you need with him and he is a very competent surgeon as well as a very nice man. The staff was very thorough and kind before and after the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Walton.

My surgeon was amazing. He gives you all of the attention and time you could ever need for questions and concerns. I never felt rushed or that any of my questions were silly. The entire staff of his hospital was spectacular. They made me and my family feel welcome and special before and after surgery.

Dr. Walton is WONDERFUL and my consulation with him was great! My husband and I had a LOT of questions and he answered every one! He does his surgery's at the Foundation of Bariatric Hospial of Oklahoma in Edmond, and his staff is Outstanding! One of the things I especially liked about this program, was the aftercare. He expects to be in contact with you for at least 2 years to give you the support you will need to be successful. I see the Dr. Walton EVERYTIME I have a follow-up appointment, not an assistant as I have seen other people complain about with their own surgeons. From what I have seen on this website, Weightwise may charge more than some of the others, but their fees include most everything for a full year, including Dr. visits, hospital (just finished building a new one in March 2006), psy, nut, excercise therapy, 1 year gym membership with them, and more. He also offers discounts if you later need some plastic surgery and go through his facility. This is worth the extra money to me, as I have seen too many other people not able to see their Dr.s after surgery very easily! rnPlease visit WeightWise @ rnwww.weightwise.org for more information!rnrnrn

Note: I have waited until I am one year post surgery. I wanted to get along farther in my experience before I made any kind of evaluation. rnrnDr. Walton is the best! He is caring, open and honest during discussions prior to surgery. While he is quick to let you know some of his patients have problems, my perception is that his patients suffer fewer adverse side-effects than contemporaries in this area. He performed RNY and gall bladder removal laproscopically. My recovery time before going back to practicly a \"full\" workload (driving construction equipment) was FOUR days. rnrnMy only concern is in his support staff. While they did an adequate job, I felt like some of my \"follow-up\" details fell through the cracks. I recently had my one year follow up, but have not had my blood work scheduled yet. I felt like that should have been done before my consult. rnrnOverall, I would highly recommend Dr. Walton to anyone considering WLS. He is continually striving to improve techniques and procedures. At this time, he is working with the hospital to make his practice in Enid to have a \"Center of Excellence\" distinction.rnrnNote: In the spring of 2006, Dr. Walton moved his practice to Edmond, OK. He is doing bariatric surgeries (RNY & Lap Band) exclusively now. The facility is designed to assist any aspect of weight loss people are dealing with. This includes non surgical alternatives, food/diet supplements, exercise physiologists and on site dieticians.

I met Dr. Walton in October of 2005. He was the surgeon for my sister and two of her daughters RNY surgeries. I liked Dr. Walton right away. He has a very soft-spoken and caring manner. He seems very excited for each of his patients. His office staff is great. Several of them have had some type of gastric bypass surgery and are very helpful. I can't think of anything I don't like about Dr. Walton. Aftercare is very important to Dr. Walton. He is very interested in my progress. He has a nutritionist and exercise physiologist on staff and encourages patients to continue in their care along the journey. Dr. Walton was very upfront and straight-forward about the risks of surgery. I would give Dr. Walton a 10 on a scale of 1-10. I think Dr. Walton ranks great in both surgical competence and bedside manner.

Dr. Walton is a very caring man. He makes his patients feel comfortable and confident in his abilities. He is quite serious about what you will have to do as your part of this new life. He does encourage the support group & exercises. He says the ones who are most successful are the ones who stay invovled. He lets you know that this surgery is a tool to be used in your new life... but it is up to you to use it to your benefit. He is very realistic in what he tells you.
He has a great staff at the office & hospital. They all were very encouraging with this... "I am Proud of you"... "You can do this".... attitude...I would & have recommended Dr. Walton to anyone who is interested in having bariatric surgery. He is the best! The only drawback si sometimes appointments have to be cancelled or run very late due to his demand as a surgeon or emergencies that come up time to time.

Dr. Walton is one of the most compassionate and caring individuals. He is a very busy doctor but always finds the time to come by for a quick check to see that you are doing well and that all of your needs are being met. I would not hesitate to have Gastric by-pass by him again or to recommend him to anyone interested in the surgery.

He is also a general surgeon and I would trust him with any member of my family and with my self as well.

Kudos don't seem to do this remarkable man justice.

Dr. Walton is the greatest! I am from Enid and know that he has a great reputation!
I had a problem though....he was out of network with my insurance. My husband and I looked at all of our options and made a decision. Instead of going out of town to get a in network provider we opted to stay here with a Doctor that we totally trusted!
His office staff is wonderful**especially ROBYN**! Dr. Walton's bedside manner is wonderful and he is the best in my book!
