I work in surgery, so I knew him before I went to him. He is very nice, he will answer any question you have and will genuinely listen to you. The office staff are wonderful. They always take time for you. Him and his partners have an aftercare program set up. It's very helpful. His surgical competence and bedside manner are wonderful.
Doctor Burhop is tremendous!!! He is extremely knowledgable, and has an excellent manner with patients.
His staff was helpful, as indicated by their obtaning my approval letter on the first submission.
He was really good at going over the procedure, the precare, and aftercare. Additionally, he was up front with all associated risks, and projections for a successful outcome.
I'd rate him a 9 on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest.
Dr. Burhop was very friendly my first visit, he made me feel very comfortable.
I still feel he is the best.
The staff is wonderful. One of the nurses also had the surgery so is very knowledgeable.
The entire offic/program put a huge emphasis on aftercare and they have a wonderful support group program and aftercare program.
They addressed all of the risks of surgery very thoroughly and truthfully.
I rate Dr. Burhop and staff a 15 our of 10!!
He was trained in laproscopic surgeries so his surgical competence is exceptional and his bedside manner is awesome as well.
Dr. Burhop is extremely professional and personable. I find his expertise regarding the surgical procedure very comforting. He is very thorough in his assessment and this is much appreciated.
The office staff as well are very courteous, well informed, and extremely helpful regarding all tasks. They work as a team, and this is very noticeable at first impression.
Dr. Burhop is a mild-mannered man. Very kind and friendly. I felt comfortable with him immediately. I had my first consult in Sept of 2003. I then fought insurance for about one year to get coverage. Megan and Darlene from his office were more than helpful. Dr. Burhop took the time to write another letter for me and it helped. I saw him Sept 10 for my pre-op and his office staff is so friendly. You really don't feel like a number. I met Megan for the first time face-to-face and she gave me a big hug, as we had been through a lot together over the phone dealing with insurance. Dr. Burhop knew every step that we had taken. I didn't feel like he is the guy who just shows up in the surgical suite and does his procedure and leaves. He knows and cares about what goes on with his patients. I didn't feel rushed and he was happy to answer every question that I had. I'll update more after my surgery on Sept 23, 2004.
I really liked Dr. Burhop. He didnt seem rushed when he talked to me. Was attentive to my questions and answered them all. His staff was nice and many were also people who have gone through WLS so they understand. The office was set up for heavier people with large confortable chairs. I will see him again before surgery to go over any other questions I might have.
