I loved Dr. Seay immediately. He was so kind
and patient, answering every single question
that he was asked, honestly and openly. He
even answered the tough question about how
many patients he'd lost. Before you panic,
the answer to that question was just a few and
that was years ago when the operation was much
newer. I would give Dr. Seay an A+ rating,
and I'm a 1st grade teacher who doesn't give
out A's unless they are well deserved. He is
the kindest Dr. I've ever seen. He always has
time to talk when you go visit. I've never
felt rushed, or like I was just a patient that
he wanted to hurry up and get out of the office.
He is very competent and I recommend him to
anyone heavy and is considering the surgery.
Thank you Dr. Seay!!!!!!

I have not yet had the surgery, but I love Dr. Seay. He does the gastric bypass, not the banding and he actually was one of the pioneers of this surgery some 27 years ago. He is a very nice, older gentleman. I am waiting on the insurance company for approval. I guess I am still kind of thinking about this, as well. Update...November 1999, I am now 70 pounds less of a person and it is all thanks to Dr. Seay and a close friend telling me of this surgery. Dr. Seay is funny, nice, caring, and most of all, understanding to "our" needs and desires. He has a wonderful sense of humor and his staff is completely supportive of all of his patients. You can call his office any time to get information about anything you feel is going wrong or right and they are always happy to hear from you. Thanks Dr. Seay

He is an older gentlemen and I felt very comfortable with him.
I feel very confident in his ability to do this surgery. His staff
is very friendly, caring, knowledgeable, and helpful. I liked
everything about him. He performs the Open RNY and has done over
2000 of them. Aftercare is very important and he is willing to
talk with support groups on the subject at anytime. He was very up
front about the risks of the surgery and stressed the important of
wanting and the willingness to change your lifestyle. He is an excellent
doctor from what I can tell, a very gentle man. His manner, competence,
and surgical competence is great. I highly recommend him. I have nothing
negative to say about him.
