Keith McEwen Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

I had Lap-Band surgery on 2/15/07. My surgeon was Keith McEwen. He is great! He listens to your concerns and genuinely cares about you and your health. rnrnHis entire staff is awesome as well. I have heard from others that they could never get a hold of their surgeons office, they had to leave messages and the office would get back to them about a week later. When you call Dr. McEwen's office, you get to speak to someone. Everyone in his office is very knowledgeable and understanding. rnrnMy entire experience with Dr. McEwen and his staff was very pleasant. I honestly feel like I have made lifetime friends with his staff. After my surgery, they called me from their homes to check on me. They genuinely wanted to know if I was doing ok. They weren't just following some office procedure.rnrnI have nothing but good things to say about Dr. McEwens office. I have recommended him to several friends.

My first impression of Dr. McEwen was that he really knew what he was doing and he actually believed that I could finally lose the weight. That impression proved to be right and so was he. I'm feeling great and doing great. The staff is wonderful and I feel like I'm more than just another patient. They go above and beyond what any other doctor of mine has ever even thought of. The aftercare program is exactly what I needed to stay on track with my weight loss. rnI believe Dr. McEwen has both a surgical competence and a phenomenal bedside manner.

WENT TO GROUP LAST NIGHT- TANYA ASKED IF WE HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE TO LET THE WORLD KNOW! I HAVE A SURGERY DATE AND CAN NOT WAIT TO WIDDLE AWAY. DR MCEWEN WAS SO SUPPORTIVE. I HAVE NEVER MET A PHYSICIAN WHO WAS GENIUNE AND ACTUALLY CARED ABOUT HELPING ME LOSE WEIGHT. HE ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS. I LIKE WHAT INDY GIRL SAID \"DR MCSWEETIE\" FITS HIM WELL!

I needed a man for the job and Dr McEwen was the surgeon for the job. Great office. Down to earth surgeon. I wanted a surgeon not a therapist. Jessica was very nice on the phone...(cute in person) Tanya helped with my questions (has the band) Alvin (well he talked about my food issues) and Cheryl- hmmm. Took my money but with a great smile! The best investment I ever made! I am getting one of my buddies to get the band also.

dr mc is wonderful. his staff is motivational. I emailed Beckyjo and she was positive and helpful. I attended group last night and was so motivated. Great Staff. Check us out...we have lost over 1 ton already www.lapbandindiana.com

I DID NOT WANT A ROUX EN Y BUT WHEN I WENT ELSEWHERE - THE SURGEON SAID HE WAS LAPBAND BUT THEN TRIED TO TALK ME INTO SOMETHING I DIDN'T WANT. I FOUND DR MCEWEN THROUGH A FRIEND. HE HELPED ME SUCCEED WITH THE LAP BAND! 6MONTHS OUT AND 44 POUNDS GONE. SLOW BUT SURE:)

DR MCEWEN IS VERY DOWN TO EARTH- REAL SURGEON REAL EXPECTATIONS -HONEST- TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO DO MY PART TO BE SUCCESSFUL. I AM COMMITTED!

Excellent bedside manner. Staff motivated to help you through the system. Does expect to be paid for his services which is understandable. I wanted someone who had a good reputation so if it was extra-it was worth it to be involved in a good program with a good surgeon. Other patients are willing to talk to you and help.
