My first impression of Dr. Schofield was that she was kind and professional.rnThat impression has continued throughout.rnThe office staff seem very supportive and kind.rnShe explains everything. She is very thorough.rnThe staff seem very knowledgeable also.rnI would definitely recommend her to my best friend. Actually recommended her to my own brother.

I first met Dr Schofield at a Seminar on Weight Loss Surgery, she was very approachable and ready to answer any questions I had. As time has passed my opinion of her has only improved. I can not say enough about her and her entire staff they have always been there to answer any questions for me either on the phone or through e-mail. I had my pre-op appointment on May 24th 2007 they told me it would take a couple hours, but I was there more like 4 hours, I had a lot of questions, fears and concerns as my date gets closer, but every single person in that office gave me all the time I needed, nobody ever made me feel rushed like they had other people to take care of, including my surgeon, they just sat there and answered question agter question until I felt totally at ease. On top of it, my Husband hadn't attended the Seminar with me so he didn't feel like he knew much about it at all, so the other surgeon (Laproscopic takes 2 surgeons) offered to take my Husband into a private meeting and answer all his questions. I was so impressed that they so willingly offered to take even more time out of their schedule to make BOTH of us feel at ease. This program has been so structured from the very beginning and the aftercare program is the going to be the same from what I see, at times I found it a bit annoying but to be completely honest I know it is all to make sure everything goes as easy as possible for me so I am thankful that they are the way they are. At this point in time I can't think of a single thing that I do not like about my surgeon or her entire staff and thats a great way to feel a week before you go in to surgery :)

Dr.Schofield has been great. Oh to be as thin as she is. Anyway the office staff is wonderful. I can truly say that so far I have had a perfect Lap Band case. I believe that is due to all the preparation before the surgery. They have a great program in place.rnAnd I have had 2 fills already. 3rd one is next Monday. She doesn't make you wait for weeks for it.You can just tell this office and Doctor knows what they are doing. And everything is in one office once you have the surgery. rnrnI am extremely pleased with my decision to have Dr. Schofield do my surgery. I am pleased with the Bariatric Wellness Center also.rnonly negative I had was a small billing issue that we are still working on. rn

She was very perfessional, she told us exactly what she expected from us, what she was going to do what would happen. Overall I would highly recomend her. I did not like My stay a Middletown hospital in Ohio. The staff was mean and my room did not have air. On the day I was to leave the hospital I almost had to stay another day because my body temp. rose high, and I was feeling sick. They also never changed my bed sheets the 3 days I was there. But, they are in the process of building a new hospital that will be done soon so it should be a better experience for others.rnrnOther people in my support group had a great experience there. It may just have been my shift workers that were bad.

Good first impression which has only gotten better. Office staff is very nice, supportive and always willing to answer questions and returns all phone calls. Presurgery care and program has been outstanding. Main reason I choose this program. Surgery is next week and at pre-op appt. everything was discussed, risks gone over and plenty of time for questions. Dr Schofield and staff never made me feel rushed at all. Have my post -op 2 week diet, meds. for pain, nausea and heprin to prevent clots. Clear directions on everything plus Staff and Dr Schofiled covered it all. They are changing from The Wish Center to Bariatric Wellness Center so had some wait and a little confusion. Also, they never got a fax from my family Dr. and when I asked they said it was there. 2 days before pre-op I found out it wasn't. It all worked out so it was a minor issue.

My first impression of Dr. Schofield was that she was quiet. She is foreign, but is easy to understand, and she explained things more thoroughly whenever I asked her to. Even though I tried not to, I couldn't help but notice how skinny she is, but after talking to her, you can really tell that she is sympathetic/empathetic to the obese patient. She treated me with total respect, and answered all the questions I had (a lot!), and encouraged me to ask whatever I wanted. I asked her about her mortality rate, and she's only lost 1 patient, and was completely frank with me about the whole situation. Dr. Schofield emphasizes doing your best to "get in shape" before surgery to minimize risk of complications, and to improve surgical outcome. I think she will do a great job, and I know she'll do whatever she needs to to help me make this journey.
P.S- The staff at the Wish Center was wonderful; they could not have been any more friendly or helpful. Everyone from the reception staff to the nurses to the medical staff did everything they could to put me at ease right away. Everyone I spoke with (nutritionist, exercise physiologist, insurance specialist, psychiatrist, nurses, receptionist, and the ladies that administered the tests) were absolutely helpful, friendly and professional.

I was impressed with her. She is friendly, patient, and knowledgable. She answered all my questions. I had some special circumstanes surrounding my surgery and she was able to perform the operation without any extra complications arising. A couple doctors had wanted my spleen removed but I did not. She said that it was my body and if I wanted to keep it then it was up to me. She said she would only remove it if it began bleeding and wouldn't stop. Most doctors would have removed it just so they wouldn't have to worry able being sued. I have a lot of scar tissue. She took extra time and changed the position of the incisions so that it could be done lap so I could recover quicker. After the surgery, I didn't get to see her in the hospital very much. Her associate that flies in from Chicago to assist was the surgeon doing the rounds. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about her.

My first impression was that she seemed down to earth and I now know that she is.
Her office staff all greeted me and made me feel like one of the gang.
There is nothing that I don't like about her.
Most surgeons have this "God" complex, this is not true of her, in fact it is very far from being true.
She is really big on aftercare. She reminded me several times to call the office with any concerns or just to talk. She emphasises exercise, and she has a structured eating plan for after the surgery.
She told me there were serveral risks and went over them in the office and again right before the surgery.
Overall, I think she is a great surgeon. I look forward to each office visit just to see her. Thanks to her help and guidance I have already lost most of my excess weight and now weigh 180.
Surgical competence, and bedside manner are equally important and you get both with Dr. Schofield. You never feel self conscious around her or her staff. The only down side is I wish I could have had the surgery done sooner but they are slightly backed up because they can only see so many patients each day.
