Dr. Fares is a very approachable and down-to-earth. He made me feel totally at ease before and after the surgery, which reassured me that I did the right thing. I also had the support of his office director, John Bock, who gave me his total support right from my first consultation. I am very pleased that I chose Dr. Fares to do my surgery.

I initially met with Dr. JB at Fares Surgicals, and was set to go with surgery with him based on all the reviews Ive read. When he left Fares Surgicals, I was a little confused as to what to do. I met with Dr. Fares, and was totally impressed with him, and his down to earth personality. He made me feel secure and confident about having him as my surgeon. By the time i left his office I was actually more excited to have him as my surgeon. I couldnt understand why he didnt have more reviews and questioned him about it. He told me his business is based on referrals. He doesnt force people to write about him, if they so choose to do so, he welcomes it..but doesnt make it an issue or make it manditory like i felt when i delt with Dr. JB. Dr. Fares made me feel more comfortable then i ever felt in that office before. He is extremely confident in what he does and he truly cares about his patients. Doctors like that are hard to find. John Bock, who is his nutritionist and coordinator is also a wonderful person in the Fares Surgicals group along with Dr. Fares other staff members. rnMy surgery was set for August 23, 2006. Unfortunately, I made a dumb mistake, did everything i was supposed to do with the exception of chewing a piece of gum. I didnt know it would be that major. When he found out, he cancelled my surgery and explained why. He would not jeapordize my life for a piece of gum and for that Im truly greatful. He was gracious and comforting to me..as i was upset and disappointed with myself. I am rescheduled..and have full confidence im in good hands with Dr. Fares.

My first impression of Dr. Fares was how comfortable he made me. He wasn't all \"medical\". He is down to earth and a funny guy.rnHis staff is very well informed and always available to answer questions.rnI was given all the information required to make my choice so much easier. rnThe information was given to me in a well written package that leaves no stone unturned. I will know exactly what to do before and after surgery. rnDr. Fares made sure that all my health issues were addressed before my pre authorization was sent to my insurer.rnHe was very open and honest with me every step of the way!rn

'Since my original post Dr. JB has left the practice. I am still with the Fares Surgical Associates because John and the team there is excelent! Dr. Fares was a understanding and funny man and is the founder of the center so I don't think I could be in better hands. /////// I have been looking for a lap band doctor for a long time. I have seen 3 others until I came across Dr. Jean-Baptiste. He is definetly the Doctor for me! He understood I had done my research and was very patient with me with all of my questions. I found Dr. Jean-Baptiste a funny man as well as the nutritionist John. This does not mean he did not address all the risks and benefits of both the lap band and rny procedure. He made sure I understood all aspects of the band and what life will be like having it. He made all of my fears go away! His office staff are wonderful! This whole process was stress free! I have two more tests to do before we go to the insurance for the approval! I feel very confident with this procedure and the people I am trusting my life with! I would highly recomend them to everyone!!! As for the aftercare program

I met with Dr. Fares this week and he spent almost an hour talking to me about what to expect answering my questions and putting me at ease. I am very happy with my choice to stay with the practice.rnrn*********************************rnI met with Dr. Jean-Baptist today for the first time. I did not know what to expect from my first consult and I was afraid I was going to be lectured to or preached at...What I got was almost an hour of Dr. Jean-Baptist's time that he used to not only ask me why I was there but to also give me the pro's and cons of both Lap band and Bypass surgeries. rnHe took the time to ask why I was opposed to RNY and was able to address my fears while respecting my choice. rnAfter meeting with him I met with John the nutritionist and I can not say enough good things about him. He never spoke down to me or preached at me

I'm very comfortable at Dr. Fares' office. His staff is wonderful and his support group is the best.
